Kidde NATURA-Micro LHS Cabinet Fire Suppression System

Description

Detection and suppression in one cabinet-level unit

The Kidde NATURA-Micro LHS is a self-contained object and cabinet fire protection unit that combines linear heat detection with IG-100 (nitrogen) gas suppression in one box. It is intended for small enclosures up to 132 cubic feet (3.75 m3), and up to eight units can be connected for a total protected volume of 1,059 cubic feet (30 m3). Because it suppresses a fire directly at the source, an incident in a switchgear, server or control cabinet is stopped in its incipient stage.

How the unit works

The activation module monitors the heat-sensing cable and its own power, and reports faults and alarms through relays. When the cable reaches its alarm temperature, the module fires the cool gas generator, which produces nitrogen at ambient temperature. The gas fills the cabinet and suppresses the fire without particulates, which keeps electronics clean. The sell sheet says no special software or commissioning tools are needed, and the unit includes LED indicators.

The manufacturer lists benefits such as risk containment, business continuity, asset protection, reduced collateral damage because no water, corrosion or residue is left, better insurability, and a modular, retrofit-friendly design. Typical candidates are electrical cabinets, control panels and enclosed equipment where a room-level system is not justified.

What to confirm before ordering

Send the internal volume of the cabinet or object, the ventilation openings, the choice of cable temperature rating and the number of generators required. Replacement modules are sold separately. The sheet lists approval as CE only, so confirm whether the project needs any other certification. Installation is straightforward in principle, but the final design must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local rules, and the exact order codes (for example SSK-NMASP, mentioned in the sheet) must be requested with the quotation.

About brand

Engineered fire suppression hardware, cylinders, valves and the control heads that release them, is the side of Kidde that industrial sites deal with. The name goes back to 1917. Seven Star LLC lists Kidde clean agent cylinders, control heads and pilot cylinders, and supplies Kidde fire systems parts to operators and fire contractors in Oman as an independent supplier. Household smoke alarms and aircraft systems sold under the same name are outside our scope.

Kidde fire suppression parts listed here

The listed items are release-train components: the WK-890181-000 electric control head, a 24 V DC unit used on Kidde FM-200 systems, an FM-200 (HFC-227ea) clean agent cylinder in the 200 lb size, and the K62462 pilot gas cylinder. Kidde also builds high-pressure CO2 systems with their own control heads and nitrogen pilot cylinders. Typical sites in the GCC are turbine enclosures, switchgear and control rooms, data halls and marine machinery spaces.

Ordering Kidde parts: what we need

Kidde components are ordered by part number, so send it exactly as printed on the label or in the system drawings. For an agent cylinder we also need the fill weight, valve type and the transport documents required. Send the nameplate photo and the system design reference whenever possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
