Description
A 30 to 45 kW screw compressor for plant air stations
The Kaeser BSD sits between the ASD and CSD series and covers three fixed-speed sizes, BSD 65, 75 and 83, plus the BSD 75 SFC with variable speed. It is a single-stage, oil-injected rotary screw compressor with the SIGMA PROFILE airend, a direct drive without gearing and an IE4 motor, built as a complete package for plant rooms and containerised stations. The brochure headline range is 1.12 to 8.19 m³/min at 5.5 to 15 bar. Compression air passes an inlet filter and valve, the injected oil is separated in the tank and a two-stage separator cartridge before the air reaches the aftercooler and centrifugal separator.

Why choose BSD over a neighbouring size
The BSD sizes overlap with the series on either side, so the choice rests on delivery at your working pressure. At 10 bar the three sizes give 4.52, 5.60 and 6.85 m³/min, while the single SFC model spans 1.51 to 6.51 m³/min and suits demand that swings through the shift. The SFC drive is a synchronous reluctance motor with a frequency converter. The T version removes the need for a separate dryer when a +3 °C pressure dew point is acceptable. Optional heat recovery through a plate-type heat exchanger can feed water heating.

About brand
Kaeser Kompressoren is a German manufacturer of compressors, blowers and compressed air systems. Carl Kaeser Sr. established the company as a machine workshop in Coburg, Germany, on 27 June 1919, and the first reciprocating compressor followed in 1948. Today the range covers rotary screw and reciprocating compressors, rotary screw, turbo and rotary lobe blowers, compressor controllers, air treatment and the MOBILAIR portable compressors.
