Stainless steel Ex e control station enclosure for pushbuttons and pilot lights

The Adalet CSC4X6 series is a line of increased safety (Ex e) control station enclosures in stainless steel. Ten standard designs offer 1 to 16 cover holes, with in-line layouts of one to four holes and larger 2 x 2 up to 4 x 4 arrangements, and custom sizes and hole patterns are available up to 24 by 24 inches.

Each cover is pre-drilled with 30.5 mm openings that take Adalet increased safety operators such as pushbuttons, pilot lights and selector switches. A continuous one-piece silicone gasket gives an IP66 rating, so the enclosure suits dust-tight and water-tight locations such as wash-down areas, pump stations and process platforms.

Options, selection and installation

Design options include mounting panels or the universal rail system, drilled entries and cut-outs, stopping plugs, gland plates on 6 inch deep enclosures, Adalet increased safety operators, terminal block assemblies, breather or drain, and an internal earth bar. Choose 316L where chloride, offshore or chemical exposure is expected.

Specify the hazardous-area class, zone, gas group and temperature class of the project first, then check the catalogue certification against it. Note that the markings printed in the catalogue are North American and IEC-type Ex e listings, so confirm that the certificate scheme matches the site requirement before ordering. Use cable glands and operators with the same certification, and follow the Adalet instructions for mounting and sealing.
