Bentone BG 300 Single-Stage Gas Burner 50-200 kW
Description
Overview
The Bentone BG 300 is the smallest burner in Bentone’s intermediate gas range, sitting below the BG 400 and BG 450. Bentone describes this family as the backbone of its range: sturdy units aimed at industrial processes or at heating semi-large commercial buildings, constantly updated to meet modern regulations and lower NOx levels. Bentone quotes 45 to 200 kW for the BG 300 family overall; the one-stage LME11 version with a DUNGS MB-DLE 407 valve covered here is documented at 50 to 200 kW on G20 natural gas and G31 propane.
Building owners, HVAC contractors and process users in Oman and neighbouring GCC countries can source the Bentone BG 300 and its spares from Seven Star LLC, with engineering support in Muscat. Its size makes it a frequent choice for smaller boiler houses, such as those in apartment blocks, schools, clinics, restaurants and light industrial units.
Operating Principle
The Bentone BG 300 fires at one fixed rate. When the thermostat calls for heat, the LME11 control first checks that no air pressure is signalled, starts the fan motor, verifies that fan pressure has built up and completes a 20 second prepurge. After a 2 second pre-ignition the gas valve opens, the ignition spark lights the gas, and the ionisation electrode proves the flame. Should no flame signal appear before the safety time (under 3 seconds) runs out, the burner locks out and must be reset by hand; in operation, the reaction time to flame failure is below 1 second.
The DUNGS MultiBloc on the Bentone BG 300 handles filtering, pressure regulation and safety shut-off in one block. Inlet pressure may be up to 360 mbar, the S50 governor can be set anywhere from 4 to 50 mbar, and the valves open slowly with settable start gas and maximum flow. On the air side, the damper and the position of the nozzle assembly are trimmed to the gas rate, and Bentone recommends around 4 plus or minus 1 percent O2 in the flue gas for natural gas and LPG.
Engineering Design of the Bentone BG 300
Bentone offers the burner with an L145 or an L245 burner tube; the protrusion (dimension A) is 125 mm or 225 mm respectively and the tube is 120 mm across. On the boiler side the flange suits bolt circles from 175 to 240 mm, and the boiler hole should be 125 mm, reduced to 115 mm if the tube is inserted from inside the furnace. This compact flange arrangement makes the Bentone BG 300 straightforward to fit on many commercial boiler fronts. A designation such as Bentone BG 300 L145 LME11 407 therefore tells the buyer the tube length, control box and valve size at a glance.
The burner runs on 230 V single-phase at 50 Hz with an operating current of 2.1 to 3.0 A, an IP20 enclosure and a fuse of no more than 6.3 A. Bentone classes it NOx class 2 on natural gas and class 3 on LPG, with a stated noise level of 82 dBA. Main components include the air pressure switch, air adjustment, nozzle assembly adjustment, MultiBloc gas valve, flame tube, gas pressure switch, ball valve, burner control, fan wheel, motor, ignition and ionisation electrodes and the ignition transformer.
Key Features
The Bentone BG 300 offers these documented features for small and medium boiler plant:
- Output spans 50 to 200 kW on G20 and G31, a good match for smaller commercial boilers.
- The burner is EN 676 approved according to Bentone, and Annex J/K builds to EN 746-2 exist for kilns, ovens and steam plant.
- It burns H, E, L or LL natural gas, or LPG in the form of butane or propane.
- The Siemens LME11 control gives a defined start sequence, ionisation flame supervision and manual reset after lockout.
- One DUNGS MB-DLE 407 block provides the strainer, governor and both safety shut-offs, with a soft, slow-opening light-off.
- A short 145 mm or long 245 mm flame tube can be chosen to suit the boiler.
- Its 82 dBA noise level is the lowest of the BG 300, BG 400 and BG 450 burners described in this range.
- Annual service or service every 3,000 hours is recommended, with clear replacement intervals for safety components.
Industrial Applications
You will typically find the Bentone BG 300 on hot water boilers, small steam boilers, warm air heaters and ovens in the 50 to 200 kW class. Typical sites are residential compounds and apartment buildings, schools, clinics, restaurants with central hot water, car washes and small food or textile workshops. LPG-fed sites without a gas grid connection can use it as well, since propane and butane are listed fuels.
For plant rooms in Muscat, Nizwa, Sohar or Salalah, our team can ship a complete Bentone BG 300 or the gas train and safety items that wear over time, for example the Dungs MB-DLE 405-412 B01 GasMultiBloc Combined Regulator and Safety Valves, the Dungs GW A6 Compact Pressure Switch for Gas and Air and the Dungs SV-D 505 Safety solenoid valve Nominal width Rp 1/2 – Rp 2. Larger boilers are covered by our Bentone BG 400 and BG 450-2 pages.

About brand
Bentone has made burners in Ljungby, Sweden, since 1954, and its program is divided simply into oil burners, gas burners and multi-fuel burners, with biogas burners as a separate group. Seven Star LLC lists the Bentone BG 400 single-stage gas burner, 61 to 320 kW, and supplies Bentone burners and burner parts to boiler and process heat users in Oman on inquiry.
Bentone gas burners and the BG 400
The BG 400 in our listing is a forced-draught gas burner in single-stage execution. Bentone states that its gas burners are approved under the Gas Appliance Regulation, and that its burners can handle modern biofuels. The BG 400 manual gives 61 to 320 kW on natural gas and 61 to 340 kW on butane or propane; the range for a particular burner is printed on the data plate and in the manual for that article number.
Ordering Bentone burners and parts: what we need
Send the model, article number and serial number from the data plate, the gas type and supply pressure, the required output in kW, the boiler make and combustion chamber resistance, and the control voltage. For parts, name the component and add a photo of its label. Gas supply pressure differs between GCC sites and must be stated.
