WIKA 111.10 Bourdon Tube Pressure Gauge, Copper Alloy, Lower Mount
Overview
The WIKA 111.10 is a general-purpose Bourdon tube pressure gauge with a copper alloy measuring system and a lower (radial) process connection. It belongs to the WIKA model 111 series, which is produced on modern lines in volumes of several million instruments per year, and it is designed per EN 837-1 or ASME B40.100. Nominal sizes run from 40 mm to 160 mm and scale ranges reach up to 400 bar, so the same model covers small pneumatic regulators as well as larger HVAC and utility headers.
Seven Star LLC supplies the WIKA 111.10 to MEP contractors, panel builders, OEMs and maintenance departments across Oman and the GCC, with engineering support in Muscat. It is a frequent line item in HVAC and plumbing submittals, where large quantities of reliable, low-cost gauges are needed for chilled water, condenser water, domestic water and compressed air systems.
Measurement Principle
The WIKA 111.10 uses the proven Bourdon tube measuring system. A curved tube of copper alloy, in C-type or helical form, is connected to the process at one end and sealed at the other. Pressure in the tube makes it straighten in proportion to the applied pressure, and a copper alloy movement converts the deflection of the tube tip into rotation of the pointer. The gauge is purely mechanical, so it needs no power and continues to show pressure when electronic instruments are offline.
The WIKA 111.10 accuracy is class 1.6 or class 2.5 to EN 837-1, or grade B to ASME B40.100, with a temperature error of up to ±0.4 % of full scale per 10 °C away from the 20 °C reference. The data sheet limits steady pressure to three quarters of full scale and fluctuating pressure to two thirds of full scale, so the range is normally chosen with some margin above the operating pressure.
Engineering Design of the WIKA 111.10
The WIKA 111.10 case is black plastic or black steel, with the NS 160 version available in steel only. The window is crystal-clear plastic snapped into the case, or instrument glass on NS 160. Cases can be supplied without a safety level or with safety level S1 to EN 837-1, which adds a blow-out device. Dials are white plastic on NS 40 to 63 and white aluminium on NS 80 to 160, and options include red mark pointers, a scale for refrigerants such as R 717, and special versions for closed heating systems or water level indication with a second scale in metres of water.
Process connections are G 1/8 B, G 1/4 B and G 1/2 B to EN 837-1, R 1/8 to R 1/2 to ISO 7, and 1/8 to 1/2 NPT, with the 1/2 inch sizes available from NS 80 upwards. A copper alloy restrictor of 0.5 or 0.3 mm can be fitted for pulsating pressure. Ingress protection is IP33 for the small sizes and IP44 for NS 80, 100 and 160. Mounting accessories include panel and surface mounting flanges and a triangular profile ring with bracket on the larger sizes.
Key Features
The WIKA 111.10 combines low cost with the reliability expected from a WIKA gauge:
- Six nominal sizes from 40 mm to 160 mm.
- Scale ranges up to 400 bar, plus vacuum and compound ranges, in bar, psi, kg/cm², kPa or MPa.
- Accuracy class 1.6 or 2.5 to EN 837-1.
- Copper alloy Bourdon tube and process connection for water, air and other compatible media.
- Optional increased overload safety of 1.6 or 2 times, and vacuum resistance to -1 bar.
- Optional UL 393 and FM 2311 approvals for fire protection systems on NS 100 with selected ranges.
- Certified to NSF/ANSI 61-G and NSF/ANSI 372 for drinking water system components.
- Pressure Equipment Directive conformity and CRN registration for Canada.
Industrial Applications
In the buildings sector across Oman, the WIKA 111.10 is installed on fan coil and air handling unit connections, pump sets, booster systems, water tanks, expansion vessels and pressure reducing stations. Contractors working on residential towers, hotels, schools and hospitals in Muscat use it in quantity because it meets consultant specifications for EN 837-1 gauges at a competitive cost, and because replacement units are easy to source. With the NSF/ANSI 61 certification, it is also suitable for potable water booster sets and treatment units.
Industrial users apply the WIKA 111.10 to compressed air receivers, pneumatic panels, filter regulators, lubrication systems and small skids in workshops and plants in Sohar, Nizwa and Salalah. Seven Star LLC supplies the gauge in the sizes, ranges and threads needed, and recommends a stainless steel model where the medium, the environment or vibration levels are beyond what a copper alloy gauge with a plastic or steel case is designed for.
For a stainless steel case with class 1.0 accuracy, see the WIKA 212.20 Bourdon tube pressure gauge.

Where WIKA instruments are used
WIKA pressure gauges and thermometers give local indication on pumps, vessels, headers and skids in refineries, gas plants, power stations, water treatment and machine building throughout the GCC. Stainless steel gauges such as the 232.50 are specified for corrosive atmospheres and process media, and liquid filling is chosen where vibration or pulsation is present. Transmitters and resistance thermometers feed the control system.Ordering WIKA instruments: what we need
For WIKA pressure gauges send the model, nominal size (for example 63, 100 or 160 mm), scale range and unit, process connection thread and its position (lower or back mount), wetted material and any filling, and accessories such as a diaphragm seal or contacts. For thermometers and probes add stem or insertion length, stem diameter, sensor type and class, and thermowell details. A photo of the dial and of the label on the case usually answers most of these points.Browse WIKA products by category: Pressure Instrumentation, Temperature Instrumentation.
