Veeder-Root TLS-450PLUS Automatic Tank Gauge Console

Description

Modular tank gauge console for inventory and compliance on larger sites

The Veeder-Root TLS-450PLUS is an automatic tank gauge (ATG) console for fuelling sites that need inventory control, leak detection and compliance reporting in one system. Veeder-Root describes it as a tool for running fuelling operations at peak efficiency, with simple navigation, streamlined inventory and compliance reports and business analytics. One console can monitor up to 64 tanks, or 32 tanks when Business Inventory Reconciliation (BIR) is used, and regular software releases keep the security and features up to date.

The standard console part number 0860091-302 includes an 8 inch colour touch screen, an integral printer, three Ethernet ports, dual USB and expansion, and dual RS-232/RS-485 ports, in a UL/cUL version. It is modular: plug-in device modules connect probes, sensors and relays, and communication modules add serial, modem or fax links.

Optional software and expansion

Optional software is ordered as separate feature part numbers: In-Station Diagnostics and Vapor Pressure Management Control (0332972-102, 0332972-101), Continuous Statistical Leak Detection (0332972-006), digital line leak detection at three levels (0332972-007, -008, -009), Timed Sudden Loss Detection (0332972-018), Vapor Collection Monitor (0332972-021), a DEF recirculation feature with temperature sensor kit (0332972-026, -027, 0794380-210) and Secondary Containment Vacuum Monitoring (0332972-029). Business Inventory Reconciliation, AccuChart calibration and the tank-calibration functions listed in the system compatibility guide are optional.

The TLS-XB expansion box lets one system go beyond the single-console inputs. It supports 2-wire and 3-wire sensors, including discriminating sump and dispenser-pan sensors, interstitial sensors for steel and fibreglass tanks, vacuum sensors, hydrostatic sensors, groundwater and vapour sensors and the air flow meter.

What to confirm before ordering

  • Number of tanks and probes, and whether BIR is needed (it halves the tank count to 32).
  • Sensor and probe types, which set the number of USM and other modules.
  • Communication needs: Ethernet, RS-232/485, modem, fax or IFSF.
  • Approval set: UL/cUL versus ATEX, IECEx or others, and indoor, climate-controlled installation.

How the Veeder-Root TLS-450PLUS works

Probes in each tank send level and temperature readings to the console. The console turns them into inventory figures. It also runs leak tests, raises alarms and prints reports for the site.

Where the TLS-450PLUS is used

  • Fuelling stations
  • Large fuel sites
  • Tank inventory control
  • Leak detection
  • Compliance reporting
