Brand: Fuji Electric
Fuji Electric FKC Differential Pressure Transmitter
Description
A smart differential pressure transmitter for flow, level and DP duties
The Fuji Electric FKC is the differential pressure model of the FCX-A IV family of smart pressure transmitters. It measures differential pressure, liquid level or flow and outputs a proportional 4-20 mA signal with HART communication, using a micro-capacitive silicon sensor with digital signal processing. Fuji states standard accuracy of 0.065 percent of the set range, with 0.04 percent as an option, and compliance with SIL 2 (HFT 0) and SIL 3 (HFT 1) to IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. Its uses include flow measurement across orifice plates, level, density, filtration and interface measurement.

Range codes
| Model | Static pressure (MPa) | Min. span (kPa) | Max. span (kPa) | Range limit (kPa) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FKC 11 | -0.1 to +3.2 | 0.1 | 1 | +/-1 |
| FKC 22 | -0.1 to +10 | 0.1 | 6 | +/-6 |
| FKC 33 | -0.1 to +16 | 0.32 | 32 | +/-32 |
| FKC 35 | -0.1 to +16 | 1.3 | 130 | +/-130 |
| FKC 36 | -0.1 to +16 | 5 | 500 | +/-500 |
| FKC 38 | -0.1 to +16 | 30 | 3000 | +/-3000 |
| FKC 43 | -0.1 to +42 | 0.32 | 32 | +/-32 |

| FKC 49 | -0.1 to +30 | 500 | 20000 | +20000 / -10000 |
A span above one tenth of the upper range limit is recommended for best accuracy, and for the FKC 49 the maximum overload on the low-pressure side must not exceed 100 bar.
Selection and ordering
Pick the range code from the maximum differential pressure, then the static-pressure rating, wetted material, fill fluid, electrical connection, indicator and approval. Use square-root output for flow measured across an orifice. State the hazardous-area approval and mounting hardware for your site, and a measuring scale. Related instruments are listed under pressure instrumentation, for example the Setra 267 low differential pressure transducer.

About brand
Fuji Electric, founded in 1923 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, is a maker of power and industrial electrical equipment, and its process instruments are common in control panels: controllers, pressure transmitters, flow meters and gas analyzers. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Oman, lists a Fuji Electric controller with the order code PDA312C1-BCYCD-10 and sources Fuji Electric instruments by order code.
Fuji Electric instruments for process control
The current instrumentation program of Fuji Electric France covers PID temperature controllers of the PXF series, SCR power controllers, pressure transmitters including the FCX-AIV series, ultrasonic and electromagnetic flow meters, temperature probes and transmitters, and gas analyzers. Order codes that start with PDA3, like the listed one, appear in distributor part lists under the Fuji Electric CC-M, a panel-mounted process controller built with one, two or four control loops. Furnaces, dryers and utility skids in the GCC are typical places to find such controllers.
Ordering Fuji Electric controllers: what we need
Fuji order codes are position coded. On the CC-M the characters cover the number of loops, the input signal, the power supply, and the communication and programming options. Send the complete code from the label, such as PDA312C1-BCYCD-10, together with the serial number. If the code can no longer be ordered, tell us the input signals, outputs, supply voltage and panel cutout so that the manufacturer's current equivalent can be requested.
