HIMA F7105A 6-Fold Current Distribution 24 V DC
Description
Overview
The HIMA F7105A current distribution module is the original HIMA "6-fold current distribution" module with fuse monitoring and LED display, designed for the 24 V DC supply of module subframes in the HIMA Planar F family. It distributes power to six fused current paths and reports the condition of every fuse through LEDs and a changeover relay contact. This HIMA F7105A current distribution module is supplied as a genuine tested spare part.
Reliable 24 V distribution is the backbone of a safety system: one blown fuse or one bad contact can take out an entire subrack. The HIMA F7105A current distribution module makes the supply status visible at a glance and signals any fuse failure to the control system, so problems are caught before they affect the process.
Engineering & Design
The HIMA F7105A current distribution module feeds 24 V DC to the pins d6, d8, d10, d12, d14 and d16, with parallel feed possible via z2/z4. Each of the six paths is protected by a fuse of max. 4 A-T in the as supplied. A floating changeover relay contact, closed between d28 and d30 while all fuses are OK, opens when any fuse blows; every path also has its own LED and a common ERR LED signals a failure.
The relay is AgNi hard gold-plated and rated 30 V AC/DC, 4 A, with an inrush rating of 12 A for 1 s. Operating data is 24 V DC (-15…+20 %, ripple rpp < 15 %) at 65 mA, over an ambient range of -25 to +70 °C. The module needs 4 TE (H 100 F 32.101) of space.

Compatibility
The F 7105A is a Planar F family module used to supply 24 V DC to HIMA module subframes. It replaces the identical original part 1:1 and is compatible with the standard Planar F rack wiring and backplane pin assignments.
Ordering Information
This HIMA F7105A current distribution module is supplied as a tested unit. When ordering, confirm the fuse rating required for your application; the as supplied fuse is 4 A-T. Spare fuses should be sourced to match the original HIMA specification.
The F7105A provides six fused 24 V DC current outputs for field transmitters, and the module monitors each output group with the status LEDs on the front panel.
The fused outputs of the F7105A protect the field circuits, and the group status is indicated locally.
Why Seven Star LLC
Seven Star LLC supports HIMA users across Oman and the GCC with verified spares like the F7105A.
Our engineers help you verify the exact model and revision before ordering, avoiding costly mismatches.
How to Confirm the Right Spare
HIMA Planar F modules look similar from the front, so always confirm the type designation printed on the module and on the subrack documentation before ordering. Check that the replacement is an F7105A and not a related distribution or power module, and compare the fuse ratings fitted in the installed unit with the plant drawings. Also note which pins are used for the parallel feed and the fuse-failure contact, because this determines how the module is wired into the cabinet.
- Type designation from the module label and front plate.
- Location in the subrack and the related loop or cabinet drawings.
- Fuse values currently fitted in each path.
- Wiring of the fuse-failure relay contact to the control system.
Replacement and Commissioning
Treat any work on a safety system power path under the site permit and bypass procedures. Isolate the 24 V DC supply to the affected subframes, replace the module, and check that the fuses fitted match the design values. After restoring power, confirm that each path LED is lit, that the ERR LED is off and that the relay contact reports a healthy state to the control system. A deliberate fuse removal test, where permitted, confirms that the alarm reaches the operator.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
A lit ERR LED with one dark path LED indicates a blown fuse on that path; find the cause, such as a short circuit or overloaded subframe, before fitting a new fuse. If all LEDs are dark, check the incoming supply and feed wiring. Periodic checks of the supply voltage and ripple help ensure that the HIMA F7105A current distribution module operates within its rated tolerance.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
Many oil and gas, gas processing and petrochemical plants in the region continue to run HIMA Planar F based shutdown and protection systems. Holding tested spare distribution modules supports these installations through their remaining service life.

About brand
Emergency shutdown, burner management and fire and gas logic are the jobs HIMA controllers are built for. The company goes back to 1908 and is based in Brühl, Germany, and its whole catalog is safety-related automation. Seven Star LLC lists HIMA safety PLC systems and the modules that keep older HIQuad systems running, and sources them by part number for plants in Oman.
HIMA safety systems and modules listed
The listing covers three generations of HIMA hardware:
- HIQuad H41q and H51q: central modules such as F8650X, coprocessor F8621A, power supply and monitoring modules F7130A and F7131, coupling module F7553, current distribution F7105A, the H7506 bus terminal for HIBUS-2 and cabinet parts such as the K9202 fan drawer
- HIQuad X: the current modular system that continues the HIQuad line
- HIMax: the X-CPU 01 processor module for SIL 3 applications
Engineering software is part of the picture. ELOP II is the programming tool for H41q and H51q systems, while HIMax and HIQuad X are engineered with SILworX.
Where HIMA safety PLC systems are used
HIMA safety instrumented systems run ESD, process shutdown, burner management, turbomachinery protection and pipeline safety functions in gas plants, refineries, petrochemical complexes, terminals and power stations across the GCC. Many of these plants still operate H41q or H51q racks, so demand for single replacement modules is steady.
Ordering HIMA modules: what we need
HIMA modules are identified by the type printed on the front, for example F8650X, plus a nine-digit part number and a hardware revision on the side label. Send all three, with a photo if possible. Tell us the system type (H41q, H51q, HIQuad X, HIMax or HIMatrix) and, for central modules, the operating system version in use, because the replacement must be compatible with the running configuration. For software such as ELOP II, state the version and license type. We check the data against HIMA documentation and, when a module has been discontinued, propose the successor the manufacturer specifies.

Frequently Asked Questions
The HIMA F7105A current distribution module distributes 24 V DC to module subframes with fuse monitoring and LED display. 24 V DC to module subframes.
No. Despite reseller labels, the official HIMA data sheet defines the F 7105A as a 24 V DC power distribution module, not a signal process module.
Each of the six paths uses a fuse of max. 4 A-T in the as-supplied state.
A floating changeover relay contact opens when any fuse blows, and per-path LEDs plus a common ERR LED show the failure.
The module is fed with 24 V DC (-15...+20 %) at 65 mA and operates from -25 to +70 degrees C.
