The KERN DE 150K20D is a compact platform scale with a stainless steel weighing plate of 318 x 308 mm on a lacquered metal platform, connected to a separate display device by a 1.5 m cable. It is a multi-division scale: up to 60 kg it reads to 20 g, and above that up to 150 kg it reads to 50 g. That structure suits mixed work where light items need finer resolution but heavier parcels must still fit on the plate.

KERN names warehouse logistics, dispatch and industrial applications as the intended use. With a net weight of only 5.0 kg, optional battery operation and a display that can stand free or be screwed to a wall, the scale can move between a maintenance store, a spares counter and an inbound goods bay on a project site. Installation and operation notes

Place the platform on a flat, rigid surface and keep it away from drafts and vibration. Install the display on a bench, on the optional tripod DE-A10 (stand height about 480 mm) or on the wall bracket DE-A13. Allow a 10 min warm-up, then adjust with the 150 kg reference or check at the 50, 100 and 150 kg calibration points. The RS-232 port connects to a printer or PC; adapters for Bluetooth, Ethernet and WiFi are listed as accessories.

Applications in industrial settings

Typical GCC uses include checking incoming consumables at contractor stores, parcel weights in dispatch, weighing drums of grease or chemicals up to 150 kg in maintenance depots and verifying portion weights in camp kitchens. Because the display has no IP protection and ambient temperature is limited to 5-35 degrees C, keep it in an air-conditioned room rather than an open yard.

Use and calibration notes

Place the scale on a firm, level floor away from drafts and vibration, and level it with the bubble before use. Do not drop loads onto the plate, as shock can damage the load cells. Check the scale regularly with a known test weight, and arrange calibration where the readings are used for trade, dispatch or quality records. Where the scale is used for trade, confirm which approvals the local authority requires.

Keep the display and cable away from water and heavy dust, and store the scale in a clean, dry place when it is not in use.
