Brand: Additel
Additel ADT927 Hydraulic Pressure Test Pump 700 bar
Description
A hand pump that holds pressure without a check valve
The Additel ADT927 is a hand-operated hydraulic comparison pump for calibrating test gauges, indicators and pressure transducers in the field or in a laboratory. A patented screw press raises pressure to 10,000 psi (700 bar) and lets you increase or decrease it smoothly, and the vacuum side reaches 85%. Since there is no non-returning valve, the typical source of slow leakage in conventional hand pumps is removed.
Two hand-tight quick connectors are fitted, one for the device under test and one for the reference gauge, so connections are made without PTFE tape or wrenches.

Ordering and configuration
The code ADT927-N-SET breaks into the model (ADT927 or ADT927W), the pressure port letter (N, N2, B, B2 or M) and SET if a carrying case is wanted. Match the port to the thread of the gauges you test most, and use the adapter kits ADT102 and ADT103 for the rest. Because the pump is hydraulic and uses liquid, it is for comparison testing rather than gas-service gauges that must stay oil-free.
Handling and maintenance
The datasheet describes the pump as needing minimal maintenance: the patented screw press replaces the check valve, the connectors are hand-tight, and 20 spare O-rings and a mineral oil bottle ship with the pump. A maintenance kit, ADT927-MK, is sold for replacing wear parts. Oil gives the best pump stability, while water as the medium may reduce performance, so use the ADT927W only where oil contamination is unacceptable. As general good practice rather than a datasheet statement, use fittings rated above the working pressure, vent the system before disconnecting and wear eye protection near the upper end of the range.
How the pump is operated
The screw press is turned by hand to build pressure and turned back to release it, so you can approach a test point from below or above and trim it gradually. The datasheet lists a low-pressure piston of 19 ml and a high-pressure piston of 0.9 ml; the larger volume is the one to expect for filling and the smaller for the final rise (our reading of the figures). Both quick connectors are hand-tight, so changing the gauge under test needs no spanners or tape, and the 245 ml reservoir gives enough fluid for long hose runs and larger test volumes.
Choosing between pump and calibrator
A hand pump is the right tool when you compare a device under test with a reference gauge, as the pump generates pressure and the reference measures it. The ADT927 reaches 10,000 psi, well above the 375 psi of the handheld ADT760A, and it is a manual unit that needs no power or battery. If you need automatic set points and documented results, an automated hydraulic calibrator such as the Additel 762 is the alternative; this pump suits routine spot checks and quick comparisons.
Use in GCC plants
Instrument workshops at refineries, pipeline stations and power plants use a hydraulic comparison pump to check pressure gauges and transmitters against a reference. A small portable pump is also useful for test benches that proof hoses, valves and fittings.
Selection and installation notes
A pressure pump should be connected to clean, dry fittings that match the instruments under test, with the right sealing washers for the thread. Raise pressure slowly, stay within the rating of the weakest component, vent fully before disconnecting and keep the working fluid free of dirt. Check hoses and seals on a regular basis and replace worn parts before they leak. Keep a record of the pump and the instruments used for each calibration.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Accessories
- 9201 sebacate oil and 9202 mineral oil, 1 litre each.
- ADT102 and ADT103 adapter sets; ADT100-HTK-15K hose test kit.
- Carrying case 9904-927 and maintenance kit ADT927-MK.
See portable test and measurement for related equipment. Send the pressure, thread and media and we will quote; confirm the exact order code before purchase.

FAQ
Questions about the Additel ADT927 Hydraulic Pressure Test Pump 700 bar
Answers from our engineering team on installation, compatibility and integration.
01What pressure range does the ADT927 cover?
From 85% vacuum up to 10,000 psi (700 bar) positive pressure.
02Why does it have no check valve?
It uses a patented screw press design instead of a non-returning valve, which the datasheet says avoids the leakage that typically affects hand pumps and reduces maintenance.
03Which media can I use?
Oil is the default, with a mineral oil bottle included. A deionized-water version is ordered as ADT927W, though stability is best with oil.
04What pressure connections are available?
Female 1/4 NPT, 1/2 NPT, 1/4 BSP, 1/2 BSP or M20 x 1.5, selected in the order code with hand-tight quick connectors.
05What is in the SET version?
The ADT927-N-SET order code includes a carrying case along with the pump, a 250 ml bottle of mineral oil and 20 O-rings.
