Description
The Riello UPS Multi Power2 M2X 120 PCS is the power cabinet of the Multi Power2 M2X modular UPS, a three-phase ON LINE double-conversion system built from hot-swappable 2U power modules of 15 kW or 30 kW. It suits small data centres, healthcare, telecom and commercial sites that want to size the UPS to the present load and add capacity later. Riello UPS states up to 98 percent efficiency in ON LINE mode.
Modular capacity that grows with the load
The M2X 120 PCS cabinet holds up to five power module slots. The datasheet lists 75 kW or 120 kW for this cabinet, using 15 kW modules (M2X 15 PM or PM BLUE) or 30 kW modules (M2X 30 PM BLUE, including a 4+1 layout), so capacity is added module by module. Systems can be paralleled up to six units, for a maximum of 480 kW. Two combo cabinets, M2X 120 CBC 6 and M2X 90 CBC 4, combine modules and battery shelves (six or four strings) for compact installations.
Efficiency Control Mode puts surplus modules into idle so that active modules work near their best efficiency. The datasheet also lists lithium-compatible operation, hot-swap batteries, SmartGrid readiness, multiple control options and optional parallel, cold start, seismic and top-ventilation kits.

Planning a modular M2X system
Size the cabinet to the final expected load but populate only the modules needed now. Use N+1 module redundancy where availability matters, choose lithium or VRLA batteries in a separate battery cabinet (the datasheet lists MPW and BTC cabinets) and confirm cooling, because ventilation is front to rear. Check the cable entry, the system monitoring unit and communication options, and whether a parallel kit is needed.
