Yuasa NP batteries listed here

The Yuasa NP12-12 is a 12 V, 12 Ah sealed lead-acid battery of the absorbent glass mat type with Faston terminals. In NP designations the first number is the capacity in ampere-hours and the second is the nominal voltage, so NP7-12 would be a 7 Ah, 12 V block. Extra letters after the number mark a variant, such as FR for a flame-retardant case.

Ordering Yuasa batteries: what we need

Send the full type printed on the battery, including any suffix letters, and the quantity. Tell us the equipment it serves, such as a UPS model or a fire alarm panel, and the terminal type on the old battery. Measure length, width and height if the label is missing. For a UPS, state how many blocks are in the string, since they should be replaced together. We also quote Yuasa batteries for buyers elsewhere in the GCC.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does NP12-12 mean on a Yuasa battery?
NP is the series name. The first 12 is the nominal capacity of 12 Ah and the second 12 is the nominal voltage of 12 V. Any letters after the number identify a variant, for example FR for a flame-retardant case, so copy the complete marking from the battery when you ask for a replacement.
Can I replace an NP12-12 with another 12 V 12 Ah battery?
Electrically a block of the same voltage and capacity can work, but the case dimensions, terminal type and intended duty must match the equipment. UPS and panel makers often list approved battery types. Check the equipment manual, and send us the original type so the manufacturer datasheet can be compared.
Should all batteries in a UPS string be replaced together?
Yes, that is the usual practice. Mixing new and aged blocks in one series string leads to uneven charging and shortens the life of the new blocks. Count the blocks in the string, note the type on each, and order the full set of identical batteries.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of Yuasa?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent industrial supplier based in Muscat. We source Yuasa batteries through commercial channels, check the model or order code against the manufacturer's documentation before quoting, and provide the manufacturer's datasheet and the certificates the manufacturer issues with the order on request.
