Description
The Riello UPS Sentinel Tower STW 10000 is a 10 kVA / 10 kW ON LINE double-conversion UPS in a tower cabinet on castors. The series covers 5 and 6 kVA single-phase models and 8 and 10 kVA models that accept single-phase or three-phase input with a single-phase output. It is intended for safety systems, telecommunications and IT equipment that cannot accept a transfer interruption.
A 10 kW single-phase output in a compact tower with parallel capability
Sentinel Tower uses a three-level inverter to reach up to 95 percent efficiency in ON LINE mode and 98 percent in ECO mode, with an output power factor of 1 so that kVA equals kW. Up to three units can be paralleled for power or for (2+1) redundancy with an optional parallel card, and the parallel system keeps running even if the connecting cable is interrupted (closed loop). A manual bypass and a static bypass are built in.
Operating modes can be selected at the front panel or by software: ON LINE, ECO, SMART ACTIVE, STANDBY OFF and frequency converter at 50 or 60 Hz. The batteries do not cut in for mains failures shorter than 20 ms or when the input remains between 184 and 276 V. Noise is below 48 dBA at 1 m in ECO mode.

Installation and selection notes
The 8 and 10 kVA models can be installed on a single-phase or a three-phase distribution network, which simplifies upgrades where only three-phase mains is available. Riello UPS lists an optional isolation transformer for the 5 and 6 kVA models, a manual bypass (MBB 100 A 2P), a parallel kit and battery cabinets in 180 V and 240 V versions. Confirm the real load in watts, the autonomy target, the cable and breaker sizing on the input terminal board and whether RielloConnect remote monitoring or a MULTICOM card is required.
