The small 12 V sealed lead-acid blocks inside UPS units, alarm panels and emergency lighting are the typical application for CSB batteries. The company was founded in 1987 in Taipei, Taiwan, and makes valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat that lists the CSB GP1272 F2 and sources CSB UPS batteries for standby power users in Oman.

CSB GP series and the GP1272 F2

GP is CSB’s general purpose series. The GP1272 is a 12 V AGM battery rated 7.2 Ah at the 20-hour rate to 1.75 V per cell at 25 °C. The F2 suffix identifies the Faston tab terminal fitted to this version, so it is part of the order code and should not be dropped. CSB describes the GP series for standby service of up to five years.

Ordering CSB batteries: what we need

Send the full type printed on the battery label including the terminal suffix, the quantity, and the UPS or panel model the batteries go into. If the old label is unreadable, send the voltage, the Ah rating, the outside dimensions and a photo of the terminals. For buyers across the GCC we check the type against the CSB datasheet and provide that datasheet on request.
