Description
The Riello UPS Master MPS MPT is a transformer-based ON LINE double-conversion UPS for industrial processes, data rooms, telecommunications, security and electro-medical loads. The Master MPS range includes three-phase input and single-phase output versions (MPM) from 10 to 100 kVA and three-phase input and output versions (MPT) from 10 to 200 kVA. This page covers the MPT 10 to 80 kVA models of the datasheet; Riello UPS classifies the range as VFI-SS-111 under IEC EN 62040-3.
A robust isolated UPS for demanding industrial supplies
The inverter has an isolation transformer, the rectifier is a 6-pulse thyristor type with or without optional harmonic filters, and a 12-pulse rectifier is available on request for the 60 and 80 kVA three-phase versions. Progressive rectifier start-up (power walk-in) and an option to lower the battery charging current reduce the demand on generator sets and MV/LV transformers. The datasheet also lists Hot System Expansion, an efficiency-optimising mode for parallel systems, high overload capacity and suitability for capacitive and inductive loads.
Batteries can be VRLA AGM, GEL, NiCd, lithium-ion or supercapacitors, with one-level, two-level or cyclic recharge. Smaller models are also offered with internal batteries (BAT versions).

Single-phase output versions and selection
The single-phase output MPM models (10 to 100 kVA, rated at 90 percent power factor, for example 100 kVA = 90 kW) share the platform; confirm whether the load is single-phase or three-phase before ordering. Check the available active power in kW, since it is 90 percent of the kVA rating, and state the battery type, autonomy, generator compatibility and the need for a 12-pulse rectifier or harmonic filters. Moving the UPS needs a pallet jack.

Riello UPS product series

Yes. It is an ON LINE double-conversion UPS with a transformer-based isolated inverter, giving galvanic isolation on the output.
