Victron Lithium NG 12.8 V 200 Ah LiFePO4 Battery IP65
Description
The Victron Lithium NG 12.8 V 200 Ah is a LiFePO4 battery of the Lithium NG series, which comes in 12.8, 25.6 and 51.2 V versions. Unlike the Smart series, NG batteries have an integrated shunt and digital communication with the Lynx Smart BMS NG, which is mandatory and ordered separately. The series is aimed at larger solar, backup and marine systems where banks of up to 50 batteries are needed.
An IP65 lithium battery that talks to its BMS
Battery voltage, current and temperature are sent to the BMS, which calculates state of charge and issues warnings and alarms. The BMS detects system voltage and the number of batteries in series and parallel automatically, and firmware updates are delivered by the BMS. Monitoring is through VictronConnect (every BMS has Bluetooth), a GX device or the VRM Portal. The cover can be removed with screws, so the battery is repairable, and mounting brackets are included.
A maximum of 50 batteries can be used in a bank with 12 V or 24 V batteries, giving up to 192 kWh with 12 V and 384 kWh with 24 V batteries, and up to 25 with 48 V batteries for 128 kWh.

Choosing NG over the Smart battery
Choose NG when you want high-speed digital communication, an integrated shunt and IP65 protection, and when the system is large enough to justify a Lynx Smart BMS NG. Confirm the bank voltage, the number of batteries, the BMS current rating (500 A or 1000 A) and the charger or inverter lithium settings. Reading the Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 model name
The name carries the main ratings: a 48 V battery system, 5000 VA inverter output, a 70 A battery charger and a 50 A AC transfer switch. Victron's documentation gives a 230 VAC output and continuous power of 4000 W at 25 °C, falling to 3700 W at 40 °C. The unit supports Victron's PowerControl and PowerAssist functions for use with a limited grid or generator supply.
