PULS CP10.241 24V 10A 240W Single-Phase DIN Rail Power Supply
Description
A 240 W DIN rail supply that is only 39 mm wide
The PULS CP10.241 is a 24 V, 10 A single-phase power supply from the DIMENSION CP-Series. PULS describes the CP range as a high-end unit in a medium price range, and the datasheet highlights three things: a body only 39 mm wide, efficiency up to 95.2 % at 230 Vac, and PowerBoost, a 20 % power reserve that may be used continuously up to +45 C. The wide-range AC input (100 to 240 Vac) lets the same unit be ordered for a control panel built anywhere, and the adjustable output (24 to 28 V) allows compensation of voltage drop on long cable runs to field devices.
The CP10.241 is the standard terminal version. The same datasheet covers CP10.241-C1 (conformal-coated board), CP10.241-S1 (spring-clamp terminals), CP10.241-S2 (push-in terminals) and CP10.242 (extended DC input range), so this page is the right starting point when you only need the basic 24 V, 10 A screw-terminal unit.

Why PowerBoost and the fuse-breaking current matter
A 10 A supply that can deliver 12 A (288 W, derived) without shutting down is a practical safety margin for panels where solenoid valves, contactor coils and a PLC rack switch at the same moment. Because PowerBoost may be used continuously up to +45 C, it is not just a short pulse. The 30 A peak for 12 ms is aimed at faulty branches: when a 24 V branch is protected by a small miniature circuit breaker, the supply can trip it quickly instead of letting the output voltage sag and reset the PLC. The datasheet recommends not using external breakers smaller than 6 A with B or C characteristic, to avoid nuisance tripping.
Installation and wiring notes from the datasheet
- Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) with the input terminals at the bottom; other mounting orientations require a reduction in output current.
- Keep 40 mm clearance above, 20 mm below and 5 mm at each side (15 mm next to a heat source).
- Screw terminals accept up to 6 mm2 solid or 4 mm2 stranded wire (AWG 20-10) at a maximum 1 Nm torque; use ferrules on the input terminals.
- Use copper cable rated for 60 C up to +45 C ambient, 75 C up to +60 C and 90 C up to +70 C.
- A protective-earth connection is required (class of protection I); provide a disconnecting means for the input.
- The device is designed for pollution degree 2, overvoltage category III and is not for wet or condensing locations.
Using it in GCC panels
In Oman and the Gulf, control cabinets often sit in non-air-conditioned switchrooms or outdoor kiosks where internal temperature reaches the upper end of the specification. The CP10.241 delivers full 10 A to +60 C and keeps working to +70 C with derating, and altitude is not an issue at sea level. For salty or dusty coastal sites ask us about the CP10.241-C1 conformal-coated version. Related items listed in the datasheet are the ZM10.WALL and ZM12.SIDE mounting brackets and the YR20.242 and YR20.246 redundancy modules for 1+1 systems. See the Power Modules category for other power supplies.
Selection and installation notes
A DIN-rail power supply is selected from the load current plus a margin of about twenty to thirty percent for start-up and ageing. Protect the input with the fuse or breaker the maker names, leave the clearances above and below for cooling, keep the output wiring short and check the output voltage under load. Where redundancy matters, use a decoupling module and two supplies rather than one larger unit.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
PULS is a Munich-based manufacturer of industrial DIN rail power supplies and supplementary devices, founded in 1980 by Bernhard Erdl. The company develops and produces 24 V single-phase and three-phase power supplies, DC/DC converters, buffer and redundancy modules and DC-UPS units for control cabinets, and also offers IP54 to IP67 field power supplies. PULS products are used wherever a reliable 24 V rail is needed.
DIMENSION power supplies and supplementary units
The DIMENSION family covers the CP, CS, QS, QT and XT series with wide-range AC inputs, PowerBoost or BonusPower overload reserves and DC-OK signalling on higher-featured models. Supplementary units such as redundancy modules, buffer modules and DC-UPS controllers extend the power supply into highly available systems.
PULS in oil and gas, water and power
PULS datasheets list approvals such as UL 508, UL 61010-2-201, marine certificates and, on selected models, ATEX, IECEx and Class I Div 2. Seven Star LLC supplies PULS power supplies to industrial customers in Oman and the GCC for PLC cabinets, pumping stations, compressor packages and utility panels, with datasheets and order codes confirmed before quotation.
