PULS CS10.241 24V 10A 240W Auto-Select DIN Rail Power Supply

Description

A cost-optimised 24 V, 10 A supply with auto-select input

The PULS CS10.241 is the cost-optimised member of the DIMENSION range, sold alongside the higher-featured Q-Series. It is a 24 V, 10 A (240 W) single-phase supply that is 60 mm wide, up to 91.6 % efficient and covers 100 to 120 Vac and 200 to 240 Vac through an auto-select input. According to the datasheet, this means that defects or system failures caused by wrongly set switches cannot occur, which matters for panels shipped worldwide. It still includes the basics: adjustable output, 20 % PowerBoost, high overload peak current and a wide temperature range.

Because the CS-Series is the simpler line, its front side shows a green DC-OK LED but no DC-OK relay contact, and DC input is not allowed; if you need those, look at the CP10.241 on this site. The datasheet also covers the CS10.241-S1 version with quick-connect spring-clamp terminals.

Selection: CS10 or CP10?

The CS10.241 and the CP10.241 offer the same 24 V, 10 A rating, so selection is about features and width. The CS10 is 60 mm wide, 21 mm wider than the CP10, and 91.6 % efficient against 95.2 %; in exchange it adds an auto-select input that avoids a voltage selector and is positioned for cost-sensitive volume use. Notice the power factor of 0.51 at 230 Vac in the datasheet, which means the supply draws more reactive current than a PFC unit; for large generator-fed or UPS-fed panels, the input current of 2.23 A at 230 Vac should be checked against the upstream breaker.

Installation notes

  • Clip it to a 35 mm top-hat rail with the input side down and keep the datasheet clearances; other mounting positions need derating.
  • Fit a disconnecting means in the input and keep the PE connection; the supply is class of protection I.
  • Daisy chaining of the output terminals is subject to the current limit stated in the datasheet.
  • Order-list accessories are the ZM1.WALL and ZM13.SIDE brackets and the YR40.241 redundancy module.
  • The supply is for installation in an enclosure and pollution degree 2; avoid condensation.

Where it is used in the GCC

Compact 240 W supplies are the workhorse of small PLC cabinets, lighting and building-management panels, and instrumentation junction boxes across Oman and the Gulf. With full output to +60 C and a wide 5 to 95 % humidity range the unit tolerates warm switchrooms, but condensation must be avoided. See the Power Modules category for other 24 V supplies.

Selection and installation notes

A DIN-rail power supply is selected from the load current plus a margin of about twenty to thirty percent for start-up and ageing. Protect the input with the fuse or breaker the maker names, leave the clearances above and below for cooling, keep the output wiring short and check the output voltage under load. Where redundancy matters, use a decoupling module and two supplies rather than one larger unit.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

Frequently asked questions

What does auto-select input mean?

The CS10.241 recognises 100-120 Vac or 200-240 Vac automatically, so no voltage selector switch can be set wrongly.

Does the CS10.241 have a DC-OK relay?

No. The front side has a green DC-OK LED only; the CP10.241 adds a DC-OK relay contact.

Can it run from a DC supply?

No. The datasheet states the DC input is not allowed.

What is the PowerBoost rating?

12 A continuously available up to +45 C ambient, decreasing to the nominal 10 A at +60 C.

Who is the supplier behind this page?

Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat and not the manufacturer. Ask us about the S1 spring-clamp version if you need it.

About brand

PULS is a Munich-based manufacturer of industrial DIN rail power supplies, founded in 1980 by Bernhard Erdl. The company develops and produces 24 V single-phase and three-phase power supplies, DC/DC converters, buffer and redundancy modules and DC-UPS units for control cabinets.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list PULS power supplies and supplementary modules for PLC cabinets, pumping stations, compressor packages and utility panels in Oman and the GCC.
