Normalab CPP Classic Cloud, Pour Point and CFPP Test Cabinet
Description
Cold flow testing in one mobile refrigerated cabinet
The CPP Classic is a Normalab test cabinet for the cold flow properties of petroleum products: cloud point, pour point and, with the optional kit, cold filter plugging point. Instead of one bath that has to be cooled stage by stage, the cabinet holds four mechanically refrigerated compartments at fixed temperatures of 0, -18, -33 and -51 °C. Each compartment has four wells, giving 16 test positions in total, and the whole unit rolls on four wheels so it can be moved inside the laboratory.
Normalab lists the cabinet for ASTM D97, ASTM D2500, ASTM D6371, IP 15, IP 309, IP 419 and ISO 3015 and 3016 and related methods. The cloud point method covers transparent petroleum products and biodiesel fuels with a cloud point below 49 °C, while the pour point method applies to any petroleum product.

Supplied items and the CFPP kit
The cabinet is delivered ready to use with four tube holders, sixteen glass test jars (P/N 19439), four ASTM 5C thermometers (P/N 11492), four ASTM 6C thermometers (P/N 11493) and sixteen cork stoppers (P/N 0941400154). The thermometers are supplied without a certificate; calibration is available on request.
Cold filter plugging point testing needs the separate CFPP kit for ASTM D6371 (P/N 941593). It contains a set of two baskets for CFPP tubes, a filter assembly, a clear glass pipette with tip, a test tube, a clamp for the lower joint, one ASTM 5C and one ASTM 6C thermometer and a one metre silicone pipe. A vacuum pump is necessary and is not part of the kit; Normalab references it as P/N 27500.
How the fixed-bath design is used
Pour point and cloud point procedures step the sample through successive bath temperatures, so having 0, -18, -33 and -51 °C permanently ready lets several samples be handled in parallel without waiting for one bath to ramp. This suits diesel, gas oil, lubricating oil and biodiesel laboratories that run a regular batch of cold flow tests, and fuel terminals that check winter-grade product.
Before ordering, confirm which methods are required, whether the CFPP kit and vacuum pump are needed, the thermometer certification you want, the site supply, and that floor space for the 910 x 630 x 1250 mm cabinet and the ethanol fill are available. The cabinet is a laboratory instrument rather than a process unit, so install it in a ventilated room with stable ambient temperature and keep the compartments closed between tests to protect the stated stability. About brand
Normalab designs and manufactures laboratory test instruments and laboratory glassware for petroleum products at its site in Valliquerville, France. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Oman, lists Normalab spare parts: the 60606 circulation pump for the coolant circuit of the NDI 450 automatic distillation analyzer, and the 60448 thermal detection thermocouple. We source Normalab parts by their five-digit reference number.
Normalab instrument families
The manufacturer arranges its instruments by the property tested: flammability, volatility, viscosity, cold flow properties, cleanliness and purity, lubricants, and bitumen, wax and grease. Its glassware line supports the same tests. The methods referenced are ASTM, ISO and IP. Refinery and fuel quality laboratories in the GCC run these instruments daily, which is why the usual request is for a replacement part rather than a complete instrument.
Ordering Normalab parts: what we need
Send the Normalab reference number of the part, the instrument model and its serial number, and a photo of the instrument nameplate. Where the part is a sensor or pump, a photo of the old item with its connector helps the manufacturer confirm the version fitted to your serial number. If you need a complete instrument, name the test method and the products you test.
