Brand: Mobrey
Mobrey MHLSC Horizontal Level Switch Chambers for Float Switches
Description
Horizontal float chambers for external mounting of Mobrey magnetic level switches
The Mobrey MHLSC datasheet covers horizontal level switch chambers, also called float chambers, used to mount a Mobrey magnetic level switch externally on a tank or pressure vessel. They suit installations where space inside the vessel is restricted, or where the switch must be isolated for routine maintenance while the plant stays in operation. A wide range of cast or fabricated chambers is offered, with process connections at top and bottom or side and side that can be flanged, screwed or butt welded.

A second table defines the connection style from 0 to 9, for example side and top or side and bottom flanged (1), side and side flanged (2), top and bottom flanged (5), top and bottom stub pipe (7) and top and bottom threadolet or socket (8), with or without a three-quarter inch flanged or threaded vent and drain. A third table lists the process connection size and rating from a 1 inch sockolet or NPT thread through 1 to 2 inch ASME weld-neck flanges and EN 1092-1 DN25 to DN50 flanges.
Selection notes
The datasheet states that the pressure and temperature ratings of the switch and the chamber are not always compatible, so the lower rating governs the selection. Chambers are supplied with the switch loosely assembled for transit, and flange bolts must be tightened on site before commissioning. Nominal dimensions in the datasheet are for reference only and must be certified on order.
Documents and quotation
To quote, send the switch model, process connection size and rating, connection style, material, design pressure and temperature, and any NDT, NACE or paint requirement. This page covers the chamber; the matching Mobrey float switch must be named separately. Delta Mobrey publishes the switch codes in its magnetic level switch datasheets.

About brand
Mobrey is a process instrumentation brand of Delta Mobrey Ltd, headquartered in Camberley, Surrey, United Kingdom. Its range centres on level measurement, with magnetic float and displacer level switches, displacer and hydrostatic level transmitters, ultrasonic transmitters and solids level switches, together with vane flow switches for air ducts. Seven Star LLC supplies these instruments in Oman on inquiry.
Level and flow instruments listed
The models on this page include the MLT100 HART displacer level transmitter, magnetic horizontal and vertical float level switch chambers, the 9710 submersible hydrostatic transmitter, DMSP ultrasonic transmitters, PLS paddle and DMS vibrating fork switches for solids, and the 131 vane operated flow switch. Datasheets are issued under the Delta Mobrey name.
Ordering level and flow instruments
Send the model code from the nameplate or datasheet, process connection, pressure and temperature, medium and hazardous-area requirement. The datasheets describe how the full model code is built, so the exact configuration can be confirmed before an offer is issued.
