Bently Nevada 133819-01 3500/60 RTD/TC Non-Isolated I/O Module
Description
Bently Nevada 133819-01 RTD/TC non-isolated I/O module for the 3500/60 temperature monitor
The Bently Nevada 133819-01 is the RTD/thermocouple non-isolated I/O module with internal terminations for the 3500/60 Temperature Monitor. The manufacturer’s spares list shows it under the 3500/60 (without recorder outputs). Its twin for the recorder-output monitor is 133819-02, which belongs to the 3500/61. The module takes up one full-height rear slot, mates with the six-channel temperature monitor in the front slot, and lets each channel be set up for either an RTD or a thermocouple.
In the 3500/60-AA-BB ordering code, 133819-01 is the A01 option, “RTD/TC Non-isolated I/O Module Internal Terminations”. Seven Star LLC supplies 133819-01 in Oman and the GCC as an independent supplier in Muscat.
Decoding 133819-01 in the 3500/60 family
| A option | 3500/60 (no recorders) | 3500/61 (recorders) | I/O description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | 133819-01 (this part) | 133819-02 | RTD/TC non-isolated, internal terminations |
| 02 | 133827-01 | 133827-02 | RTD/TC non-isolated, external terminations |
| 03 | 133835-01 | 133835-02 | TC isolated, internal terminations |
| 04 | 133843-01 | 133843-02 | TC isolated, external terminations |
| 05 | 136711-01 | 136711-02 | RTD/TC non-isolated with internal barriers, internal terminations |
The only difference between the 3500/60 and 3500/61 is the six recorder outputs of the 3500/61. Because the I/O module carries the recorder wiring, the -01 and -02 variants of the same I/O are not interchangeable, so make sure the suffix matches the monitor in the rack.

Temperature ranges depend on the sensor type connected, and the full-scale range of each channel is set in the 3500 software. The datasheet notes that Platinum RTDs with 0.00385 alpha are the worldwide industrial standard and are recommended for all applications.
How the RTD/TC channel is measured
For RTD inputs the module sources a small current (about 925 µA) through the sensing element and measures the resulting voltage, which is converted to temperature with the curve of the selected sensor type. For thermocouples the module amplifies the millivolt signal and adds a cold-junction temperature taken from an on-board sensor. Both types are set per channel in the Rack Configuration Software, so a monitor can supervise bearing metal RTDs and a thermocouple on the same rack.
Where 133819-01 fits and how it is used
The non-isolated module is the usual choice for bearing metal, thrust pad and winding RTDs and for thermocouples that are insulated from ground. If the thermocouple junctions are grounded or share a ground with other equipment, the isolated TC types (133835-01 and 133843-01) offer 250 Vdc of channel-to-channel isolation and 500 Vdc of system isolation as protection in fault scenarios.
- Main module: 163179-01, the 3500/60 temperature monitor without recorders. The 3500/61 monitor with recorders is 163179-02.
- External termination alternatives: block 133908-01 (terminal strip) or 133916-01 (Euro style) with cable 134544-AAAA-BB, used with the external I/O module 133827-01.
- Connector headers: 00580442 (9-position), 00580443 (12-position green) and 00580444 (15-position) for internal termination.
- User guide: 134542.
Selection checklist before ordering 133819-01
- Confirm that the rack monitor is a 3500/60. A 3500/61 needs 133819-02.
- Confirm the termination style. If the wiring is on a cabinet termination block, you need an external I/O module.
- Confirm that the sensors are RTD or ungrounded thermocouples; grounded thermocouple junctions need the isolated I/O.
- Check whether internal barriers are in use. The barrier I/O (136711-01) has a narrower operating temperature range, 0 to +65 °C.
- Record the module revision and the sensor types so the configuration can be reloaded.
Installation, commissioning and maintenance of 133819-01
Use 3-wire or 4-wire RTD wiring with shielded cable, ground the shield at one end only according to the rack wiring diagrams, and keep the thermocouple extension cable of the correct type from end to end. After fitting the module, load the stored configuration or reconfigure the channels and verify each reading against a calibrator or a decade box. Compare a cold-junction check with a known room temperature when thermocouples are used.
Open-circuit sensors show as a Not OK channel, which is a quick way to find broken RTD leads. Because the I/O module is the part directly exposed to field cabling, keeping a spare 133819-01 on the shelf is a practical way to protect long-lead turbine and compressor outages.
Typical applications in Oman and the GCC
Temperature monitors protect the bearings and windings of gas turbines, generators, large motors, centrifugal compressors and boiler feed pumps in oil and gas, power and desalination plants across Oman and the GCC. With high ambient temperatures, accurate thermal monitoring of journal and thrust bearings and of motor stator windings is an early warning of lubrication or cooling problems. Terminal checks and shield integrity matter in hot, dusty junction boxes.

A proximity probe measures the gap to the shaft, so it sees shaft movement inside a fluid-film bearing directly. A velocity or acceleration sensor sits on the casing and suits rolling-element bearing machines. Critical turbomachinery usually carries two X-Y probes per bearing, two axial probes for thrust position and a Keyphasor probe for speed and phase.
Where Bently Nevada systems are used
In Oman and the GCC, Bently Nevada racks and probes protect gas turbines, compressors and steam turbines in gas processing, LNG, refining, petrochemical, power and desalination plants. Many installations are 3500 racks that have run for years, so most requests are for like-for-like module, probe, extension cable and proximitor replacements, plus upgrades to newer monitors.
Ordering and replacement: what we need
For probes and proximitors, send the full part number with all option digits (for example 330101-00-27-10-02-05). The digits set the probe length, cable length, connector and approvals, and the probe, cable and proximitor must match in total system length. For 3500 modules, send the module and I/O part numbers from the rack and say whether the I/O is internal or external termination, or barrier type. If a module is obsolete, we quote the replacement that Bently Nevada names and point out any configuration or firmware change.
Facts checked against Baker Hughes Bently Nevada pages and published company history, October 2026.

FAQ
Questions about the Bently Nevada 133819-01 3500/60 RTD/TC Non-Isolated
Answers from our engineering team on installation, compatibility and integration.
01What is Bently Nevada 133819-01?
It is the RTD/TC non-isolated I/O module with internal terminations for the 3500/60 Temperature Monitor (the version without recorder outputs). It is the rear module where RTD and thermocouple wiring lands.
02Is 133819-01 for the 3500/60 or the 3500/61?
133819-01 is listed under the 3500/60. The equivalent I/O for the 3500/61 with recorder outputs is 133819-02, so the suffix must match the monitor.
03Which sensors can 133819-01 handle?
Each channel can be set to RTD or thermocouple, and both can be mixed. The datasheet lists platinum, nickel and copper RTDs, and thermocouple types E, J, K and T, within the ranges for each sensor.
04When should the isolated TC module be used instead?
Use 133835-01 or 133843-01 when thermocouple junctions are grounded or need isolation. The isolated types provide 250 Vdc channel-to-channel isolation, which the non-isolated RTD/TC I/O does not offer.
05How many channels does the 3500/60 monitor provide?
The monitor provides six channels, and each channel can be configured for RTD or thermocouple. Alert and Danger alarms are adjustable from 0 to 100 percent of full scale.
