Ansul HYGOOD Inert Gas System 300 (IGS-300) Fire Suppression

Description

A 300 bar inert gas system built for simple design

The Ansul HYGOOD Inert Gas System 300 (IGS-300) is a regulated-flow inert gas fire suppression system that uses INERGEN or IG-55 agent from a central bank of 300 bar containers. The brochure describes the system as operating at a nominal 60 bar after regulation, which reduces pressure spikes, simplifies pipe scheduling and lowers the over-pressure vent size needed in the protected room.

Container assembly and actuation

The container uses a high-pressure pressure-differential valve, a removable pressure gauge and a standardized transportation cap without a neck ring. The gauge is listed as UL Listed, FM Approved or CE/UKCA certified depending on the version. The master-subordinate feature controls up to 85 containers and removes the need for a pilot container, and the 3 liter and 13 liter pilot containers give flexibility when a pilot is wanted.

Listed applications include data centers, control rooms, computer rooms, telecommunication sites, electrical switch rooms, laboratories, medical equipment, financial institutions, museums, archives, petrochemical, oil and gas facilities, air traffic control towers, mining and motor control centers, and E-houses. Extended pipe runs allow a larger volume to be protected from one central storage location.

What to confirm before ordering

Confirm the agent (INERGEN or IG-55), enclosure volumes, the number of hazards, the distance from storage to the farthest nozzle and the approval required (UL, FM, VdS or CE). The brochure gives no part numbers; flow calculation software and design support are provided through the manufacturer.

Documents and quotation

You can download the HYGOOD IGS-300 brochure (form FS2410021, 4 pages) from this page. It summarises the system rather than specifying hardware, so part numbers come later from the design stage. Tell us the hazard, the quantity and the governing standard when requesting a price. See Fire Fighting for related fire protection equipment.

About brand

Ansul is a fire protection brand of Johnson Controls, based in Marinette, Wisconsin, USA. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, quotes Ansul clean agent, carbon dioxide, dry chemical and restaurant fire suppression systems against project requirements.

Ansul fire suppression systems

The manufacturer brochures describe INERGEN and SAPPHIRE clean agent systems, FM-200, high pressure carbon dioxide, the A-101 dry chemical system for vehicles and the R-102 restaurant system. AUTOPULSE control panels with smoke, heat and flame detectors release the gaseous systems, and a lithium-ion risk prevention system watches battery racks for off-gases. Each product page on this site carries the manufacturer brochure so the stated features, approvals and applications can be checked against the source document.

Choosing an Ansul system

The right agent depends on the hazard: clean agents for electronics and archives, carbon dioxide for machinery spaces and flammable liquids, dry chemical for mobile equipment and liquid agent for commercial kitchens. Send the protected volume, the hazard and the project standard so the system can be matched to the manufacturer design documents.
