Description
MSO24 is the four-analog-channel model of the Tektronix 2 Series MSO, a compact mixed signal oscilloscope with a 10.1-inch capacitive touch display, 2.5 GS/s sampling on half the channels and 10 M points of record length. Analog bandwidth from 70 MHz to 500 MHz is selected with a licence option, and it weighs 1.8 kg without the optional battery pack.
A portable scope for field fault finding
The instrument is only 40.4 mm deep, runs from a 24 V DC adapter or from optional hot-swappable TEKBAT-01 batteries (up to 4 hours with one, 8 hours with two, as printed), and has a ground lug for safe return when on battery. That combination suits commissioning and troubleshooting away from a bench, such as control panels, motor starters and instrument loops.
Optional licences add 16 digital channels (2-MSO), a function generator with digital pattern generator and Bode plot (2-SOURCE) and serial decode for I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, CAN FD, CAN XL, LIN, SENT and 10BASE-T1S (2-SERIAL). FastAcq captures more than 4,000,000 waveforms per second to find rare events.

Ordering: model, bandwidth and options
Order MSO24 together with one required bandwidth option (2-BW-70, 2-BW-100, 2-BW-200, 2-BW-350 or 2-BW-500); upgrades can be installed later by licence. MSO22 is the two-channel sister model, and MSO22-EDU and MSO24-EDU are education bundles with MSO, source and serial options included. Add the power cord option (A0 to A12, A99) for your mains plug. Each unit includes one TPP0200 200 MHz 10:1 probe per channel, a stand, a power supply and a calibration certificate.
Operating notes
Leave 13 mm clearance at the rear inlet and exhaust edges for cooling. The inputs are rated 300 Vrms CAT II; use a high-voltage differential probe such as P5200A for higher voltage work. Accuracy specifications apply after a 30-minute warm-up and signal path compensation.
Uses in Gulf maintenance and service work
The battery option, light weight and 0 to +50 °C range suit service engineers moving between plant rooms, switchrooms and workshops; CAN, LIN and UART decode helps with engine controllers and gensets. The datasheet states no ingress rating or hazardous-area approval.
