Three portable flaw detectors are listed: the Krautkramer USM 100, the USM 36 and the lighter USM Go+. Ordering Waygate NDT equipment: what we need
Name the instrument and the exact version or software options, since each model is sold in several configurations, for example the DM5E with or without data logger. List the probes with frequency, element size and connector type, plus cables, calibration blocks, wedges and couplant. State the material, thickness range, surface temperature and the test standard you work to. For accessories or spares for an instrument you already own, send its serial number. We quote throughout the GCC.

What is the difference between the USM 36 and the USM Go+?
Both are portable ultrasonic flaw detectors from the Krautkramer line. The USM 36 has a 7-inch screen and is offered in three versions, the highest of which adds DAC, AWS and DGS evaluation. The USM Go+ is the ultra-portable unit and can be upgraded with a thickness gauge function. Functions depend on the version and options, so list the ones you need.
Which DM5E version do I need?
There are three: the DM5E Basic, the DM5E, which adds the Dual Multi mode for measuring metal thickness through coatings, and the DM5E DL with a built-in data logger. If you record corrosion survey grids or measure through coatings, check that the version and the probe support that mode. Tell us how readings are reported and we will compare the versions in the manufacturer's documentation.
Can I use my existing probes with a new Waygate thickness gauge?
Corrosion gauges such as the DM5E work with specific dual-element probes named in the operating manual, and some measuring modes are limited to certain probe types. Probes from another gauge family or another maker may not be supported. Send the probe model numbers and connector types, and we will check them against the probe list in the manufacturer's manual.
Which certificates does the manufacturer issue with a flaw detector or gauge?
The documents depend on the model and the order, so state in the inquiry which certificates your quality system requires for the instrument and for the probes. The DM5E, for example, is specified by the manufacturer to EN 15317. On request we provide what the manufacturer issues. Periodic verification afterward follows your own quality procedure and test standard.
