Brand:

Axiomtek eBOX100A Fanless Embedded System

Description

A 155 x 110 mm Alder Lake-N box with two or four 2.5GbE ports

The Axiomtek eBOX100A is a very small fanless computer using Intel Alder Lake-N processors. It comes in a two-port and a four-port 2.5 GbE version, which makes it useful as an edge gateway, a small network appliance or a kiosk controller where rack-mount or panel space is limited. The case is only 155 x 110 x 60 mm and weighs 1.1 kg.

The datasheet lists the IEC 60945 marine standard among its pictograms and certifications, together with UL 62368-1, and an operating range of -40 to +60 C with wide-temperature parts. A DIN-rail, wall or VESA kit is available, and the power supply accepts 9 to 36 VDC with ignition control for vehicle or mobile installations.

Two-port or four-port: a practical choice

The N97 model in the two-port version (2E) supports both a Mini PCIe slot and an M.2 Key E socket for Wi-Fi 6E. The four-port version (4E) supports only the Mini PCIe slot, so wireless and cellular options are more limited. The N305 model is offered in two-port form only. Choose by network count first: a four-port box suits a router or segmented-network gateway, a two-port box suits a single-link edge node.

Before you request pricing

Confirm memory capacity, the type of drive (a 2.5 inch SATA bay only), the mounting kit (wall, DIN-rail or VESA) and whether the 12 V 96 W adapter is wanted. The Atom x7211E is available by request only. Wide-temperature DRAM and SSD must be sorted through the manufacturer according to the datasheet note.

How the Axiomtek eBOX100A works

The eBOX100A is a complete computer without a fan. The processor, the memory and the storage sit inside an aluminium case that carries the heat to the outside surface, so there are no moving parts to wear or to draw in dust. The two or four 2.5GbE ports connect it to the network, the serial ports connect field devices, and the 9 to 36 VDC input lets it run from a battery or a plant DC supply. Ignition control lets it start and stop with a vehicle.

Where the eBOX100A is used

  • Edge gateways that collect data from machines
  • Small network appliances and routers
  • Kiosk and digital signage controllers
  • Vehicle and mobile installations
  • Cabinets where panel and rack space is limited

Selection checklist for the eBOX100A

  • Number of network ports, two or four
  • Processor: Intel N97 or i3-N305
  • Memory of up to 16 GB DDR5-4800
  • Storage: one 2.5 inch SATA drive
  • Wireless and cellular needs: Mini PCIe, M.2 Key E and SIM slot
  • Serial ports as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485
  • Mounting kit: DIN rail, wall or VESA
  • Temperature range, with wide-temperature parts for -40 degrees C

Installation, commissioning and maintenance notes

Fit the memory and the drive before mounting, and choose the mounting kit that suits the cabinet. Leave free space around the case for heat to leave. Connect a DC supply within 9 to 36 VDC and allow for the inrush current. Install the operating system, then set up the network ports and the serial modes. Keep the firmware up to date and the case free of dust. Back up the system image after commissioning.

Requesting a quotation for the Axiomtek eBOX100A

Please send the ordering code, the memory, the storage, the wireless options and the mounting kit needed. Seven Star LLC serves industrial customers in Oman and the GCC and replies with a quotation based on the information provided.

Computer records for eBOX100A

Keep the ordering code, the serial number, the operating system version and the network settings with the asset list.

Choosing the right eBOX100A version

Decide first how many network links are needed and whether wireless is required. The two-port N97 version has both a Mini PCIe slot and an M.2 Key E socket, while the four-port version has only the Mini PCIe slot. The N305 version is offered with two ports. Confirm memory, drive and mounting kit at the same time.

eBOX100A power input

The DC input accepts 9 to 36 VDC with ignition control. Size the supply for the inrush current of 1.39 to 6.67 A and fit a fuse in the feed line.

About brand

Axiomtek, founded in 1990 and based in New Taipei City, Taiwan, designs embedded systems, edge computing and industrial IoT hardware. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Axiomtek fanless eBOX computers and front-access IPC industrial systems such as the eBOX671B and the IPC980, each with the manufacturer datasheet.

Axiomtek product families

The eBOX line covers compact fanless computers with wide DC input, from small Alder Lake-N units to LGA1700 systems with MXM graphics. The IPC line uses a vertical front-access chassis with optional PCIe slot cages for add-in cards, and one IP67 model with M12 connectors. Operating ranges, power input and I/O differ between models, so the datasheet should be read against the application, for example whether a -40 C rating, ignition control or a given number of serial ports is needed.

Ordering Axiomtek systems

Send the full order code including the suffix, plus the processor, memory, storage and any I/O modules or mounting kits. Most systems in the range are ordered without CPU, memory and drives, so those must be specified separately, and wide-temperature parts are sorted through the manufacturer. The datasheet ordering section also lists mounting kits, adapters and add-on modules for each model.
