ComAp InteliSys 2000 Paralleling Gas Gen-Set Controller

Description

Gas gen-set and CHP controller for switchgear applications

The ComAp InteliSys 2000 is a paralleling controller for power generation with synchronous or asynchronous generators, including gas gen-sets and combined heat and power units. ComAp positions it for complex plants that need pre-programmed gen-set functions, extensive PLC resources and communication with on-engine products such as ignition systems, breakers, AVRs, speed governors and inverters.

Key points in the datasheet are cooperation with up to 64 gen-set, mains and tie controllers, hot-swap redundancy, role-based user management for up to 30 users, an integrated AVR interface, an integrated Modbus client, a PLC editor, and the unit history stored on a micro-SD card. Grid-code, emissions and cyber security requirements are addressed in the design.

Gas engine and CHP functions

ComAp states support for gas engine and CHP applications, multiple-ECU communication, and compatibility with the InteliSys GAS, the IG, IS and IM NT line and the IG200 and IG500 controllers. Three voltage sensing points allow generator, bus and mains measurement. The controller lists compliance with world-wide grid code requirements, and ComAp publishes separate certificates for EN 50549, VDE-AR-N 4105 and 4110 and TOR on its product page.

Where an older InteliSys GAS or InteliGen NT installation is being extended, check compatibility of the CAN intercontroller settings and the firmware version with ComAp before mixing generations on one bus.

Selection and ordering notes

Choose the InteliSys 2000 for gas or CHP sets, and especially where the project needs strict grid-code behaviour; the InteliGen 1000 is the corresponding controller for diesel sets in switchgear applications. Confirm engine type and ignition or ECU communication, number of units, redundancy requirement, display or SCADA solution and the grid code that applies. Quote the full order code.

Before ordering, check the engine start sequence, the number of breakers to be controlled, the available inputs and outputs against the project I/O list, and whether a separate display or extension is needed. Settings and PLC logic are prepared with the manufacturer configuration software before commissioning, so agree the application scope early.

About brand

ComAp is a Czech manufacturer of control systems for gen-sets and other power generation equipment, founded by three friends in 1991 and headquartered in Prague. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, quotes ComAp InteliLite, InteliGen and InteliSys controllers for standby generators, paralleling plants and gas gen-set projects.

ComAp gen-set controllers

The ComAp range covers single gen-set controllers such as InteliLite 4, paralleling controllers such as InteliGen and InteliSys, engine controllers, microgrid and battery storage controllers, remote displays, communication modules and the WebSupervisor monitoring tool. ComAp datasheets give the order code, the supported plug-in modules and the extension modules for each controller.

Ordering ComAp controllers

Send the full order code, including any suffix for a low-temperature version, together with the engine make, the AVR and governor type and the communication module required. Each ComAp page here links the manufacturer datasheet so the selection can be checked before a quotation is issued.
