The ComAp InteliNano AMF 5 is the compact member of the ComAp single gen-set family, built for stand-by and prime-power applications where panel space is tight. It combines Auto Mains Failure, manual or remote start and stop in one unit, with a large backlit graphic display, full three-phase voltage and current measurement and true RMS accuracy.

Configuration, monitoring and control run through one PC tool, locally over USB-C or remotely through AirGate 2.0, WebSupervisor and InteliSCADA. The controller supports engine ECUs on Tier 4 Final and Stage V engines, offers a low-power mode, and stores up to 100 records in its history log. Two languages sit in the controller, and a translator function is included.

The controller has an emergency-stop terminal that supplies binary outputs 1 and 2, a D+ charge-fail input, a magnetic pick-up input up to 10 kHz, user setpoints and protections, a multi-purpose scheduler and maintenance timer, user access management and Modbus register mapping. Geo-fencing needs the 4G-GPS module. Remote monitoring through Ethernet or 4G is possible with the plug-in modules. The unit has a low-noise EMC design, is individually calibrated and checked, keeps time with a battery-backed real-time clock and full calendar, and takes power over USB-C for configuration and firmware update.

How the ComAp InteliNano AMF 5 IN2AMF5XBAA works

The InteliNano is a small controller for one gen-set. In the AMF mode it watches the mains. When the mains fails, it starts the engine, checks the generator output, closes the generator breaker and takes the load. When the mains comes back, it changes the load back and stops the engine. In the manual or remote mode, an operator or a remote system starts and stops the set.

Installation, commissioning and maintenance notes for the IN2AMF5XBAA

Cut the panel to 118 by 92 mm and fit the optional gasket for IP65. Fuse the supply at 2 A. Wire the voltage inputs and the current transformers, then the engine and breaker outputs. Connect the PC by the USB-C port to set up the unit. Test the start sequence with the breakers open before a live transfer.
