Description
A smaller AMF controller for compact generator panels
The ComAp InteliLite 4 AMF 9 brings the InteliLite 4 feature set to smaller gen-sets and tighter control panels. It is built for stand-by and prime-power sets and supports three applications on one hardware platform: AMF (the default), MRS and Engine. Compared with the AMF 25 it has a smaller panel cutout, one plug-in slot instead of two and support for up to two extension CAN modules instead of five.
The controller reads three-phase generator and mains voltage, generator current and a magnetic pickup, and talks to J1939 engine ECUs. ComAp states that Stage V and Tier 4 Final operation is supported by default, and that the platform is designed to the relevant requirements of ISA 62443 levels 2 to 3.

Extending the AMF 9
The single plug-in slot accepts one of four modules: CM-RS232-485 for RS232 and RS485 (CM223248XBX), CM2-4G-GPS for 4G and GPS (CM24GGPSXBX), CM3-Ethernet (CM3ETHERXBX) or EM-BIO8-EFCP for eight additional binary inputs or outputs (EM2BIO8EXBX). The depth of the controller varies with the module, between 41 mm and 56 mm, and RS232 connectors need about 60 mm more behind the panel.
Additional I/O can be added over CAN with Inteli AIN8, Inteli IO8/8, IGS-PTM, Inteli AIN8TC and Inteli AIO9/1 modules, or an IGL-RA15 remote annunciator with 15 LEDs. Configuration, cloning and monitoring use ComAp tools such as InteliConfig and WebSupervisor.
Selecting an InteliLite 4 and what to confirm
Pick the AMF 9 where the panel is small and one communication module and a handful of extra I/O points are enough. If a gen-set needs both a 4G module and an extra binary I/O module, or more CAN modules, the two-slot AMF 20 or AMF 25 is the safer choice. Confirm the engine ECU and its J1939 messages, the AVR and governor interface, and the breaker scheme before ordering. Send the full order code with the quotation request.
