Description
Single gen-set controller for standby and prime-power plant
The ComAp InteliLite 4 AMF 25 is the larger of the InteliLite 4 automatic mains failure controllers for a single generating set. It starts the engine on mains failure, closes the gen-set breaker, transfers the load and returns it to the mains, and the same hardware can also be configured for prime-power duty. ComAp lists four applications on one platform: AMF as the default, MRS, hybrid and engine control.
Typical uses are standby generators for buildings, telecom sites and industrial plants where a panel builder wants a cyber-secure controller with a wide choice of communication options and J1939 engine support, including Stage V and Tier 4 Final readiness by default.

Plug-in modules, CAN modules and software keys
The two plug-in slots take the CM-RS232-485 dual port module (CM223248XBX), the CM2-4G-GPS module (CM24GGPSXBX), the CM3-Ethernet module (CM3ETHERXBX) and the EM-BIO8-EFCP module with eight extra binary inputs or outputs (EM2BIO8EXBX). Final depth of the controller depends on the module fitted, between 41 mm and 56 mm.
CAN modules listed in the datasheet are IGL-RA15, Inteli AIN8, Inteli IO8/8, IGS-PTM, Inteli AIN8TC and Inteli AIO9/1. Software keys include Modbus client (SKMODCLI03), the PLC package for the Engine application (SKPLCILX01) and 400 Hz (SK400HZX01).
Choosing between InteliLite 4 models
AMF 25 and MRS 16 share the 3.2 in display and two plug-in slots. Choose AMF 25 when mains supervision and automatic transfer are needed, and MRS 16 for prime-power sets without mains monitoring. The smaller AMF 9 has one plug-in slot. Before ordering, confirm the engine ECU protocol, the AVR and governor interface, the breaker control scheme and the required communication module. Quote the full order code, including the BAA or BLA suffix.
