Xylem Lowara VM Vertical Multistage Pump
Description
Close-coupled vertical multistage pump for building water supply
The Lowara VM is a non-self-priming vertical multistage high-pressure centrifugal pump with threaded inlet and outlet manifolds, close-coupled to a Lowara surface motor. Xylem designed it for residential and small commercial building services: pressure boosting and water supply, small to medium irrigation systems and liquid handling. The pump body is cast iron, joined to an external AISI 304 (EN 1.4301) TIG-welded sleeve by stainless steel tie rods screwed into the aluminium motor flange, and the impellers are technopolymer. The design shares its heritage with the e-HM and uses an essential O-ring layout with only two O-rings in the sleeve construction. A version suitable for contact with drinking water is available.

The identification code, for example 10VM05P30T5RVBE, reads: flow rating 10 m3/h, VM series, 5 technopolymer impellers, 3 kW motor, three-phase, 50 Hz supply code 5R (220-240/380-415 V), seal rotating part V (aluminium oxide), stationary part B (carbon) and E (EPDM) elastomers. A VME code such as 10VME02P11M02VBE indicates the e-SM drive version.
Selection and what to confirm before ordering
The VM suits clean water duty at moderate pressure; it is a building services pump rather than a process pump. Confirm the duty flow and head, suction condition (it is not self-priming), supply voltage and phase, and whether the e-SM drive is wanted for constant-pressure operation. The YSI EXO2 is a multiparameter sonde for unattended water quality monitoring. YSI describes it with seven universal sensor ports, one of them for a central antifouling wiper, powered by four D-cell batteries. With the matching sensors it reports temperature, conductivity, optical dissolved oxygen, pH, ORP, turbidity, algae pigments, fDOM and depth, among others. For an EXO2, list the sensors required, the cable length, the depth option and whether a handheld or a data logger will read it.
