Murphy PowerView 780B 7-Inch Engine Display
Description
Sunlight-viewable display with glove-friendly touch and soft keys
The Murphy PowerView 780B is a full-color configurable display that brings engine, transmission and diagnostic information into one operator interface. Its 7 inch screen has rich color graphics and a processor that supports smooth animations and video playback. Ten tactile configurable soft keys with white LED backlight sit around the screen, and the bonded, glare-free LCD is designed for visibility in sunlight.
It is available in a glove-friendly touchscreen version and a non-touch version. Enovation Controls states that the PV780B offers the features of the PV780 with more power and memory, with 8 GB of storage and a processor that boots quickly. It is programmed with PowerVision Configuration Studio, and the graphic interface is not included, so custom programming is required.

Part numbers and accessories
The product page lists 78700630 for the PV780B non-touch display and 78700631 for the PV780B-T touch display. Accessories include a PV780 programming kit (78090098), cover (78051181), ram mount adapter bracket kit (78001053), bezel (78051180) and several harnesses: gray connector with USB (78001055), gray connector with flying leads (78001056), black connector with flying leads (78001057), development harnesses (78001017 and 78001018) and a PV750 conversion harness for power and CAN (78090069).
The real time clock is available with battery backup and the Ethernet connector is present only on some variants, so state the required options when enquiring.
Programming and integration
The display does not ship with an application. Screens, scripting and engine parameters are created in PowerVision Configuration Studio, which the product page names as the only programming tool for this model. Plan for the engine or controller signals it will show over J1939 CAN, the number of analog and digital inputs used locally and whether video inputs are needed.
Confirm touch or non-touch, optional Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the harness type and mounting accessories before ordering. The data sheet carries a California Proposition 65 warning. This is a current product on the Enovation Controls site.

About brand
Murphy is an American brand of engine and equipment protection controls that began in 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founder Frank W. (Pat) Murphy combined an indicating gauge with a switch that stops an engine on low oil pressure or high coolant temperature, first installed on unattended oilfield engines. That SWICHGAGE remains the brand's best-known product.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list selected Murphy gauges, switches and controllers for engines, generator sets, pumps and compressors in Oman and the GCC.
