Flygt N 3153 Submersible Wastewater Pump

Description

A clog-free submersible wastewater pump for medium-capacity duties

The Flygt N 3153 belongs to the Flygt N-pump series, a range of 1.3 to 680 kW pumps with self-cleaning N-technology for wastewater, stormwater, sewage and treatment-plant duties. Xylem states that the Adaptive N impeller and hydraulics, with backswept leading edges, an integrated guide pin and a relief groove, avoid clogging and keep hydraulic efficiency high between cycles. The 3153 sits in the medium-capacity group (up to 500 l/s) at 7.5 to 15 kW, and can be installed submerged or in dry installations.

Discharge sizes are listed in the brochure by model; confirm the discharge size of the 3153 when ordering. Wear data from Xylem accelerated tests show Hard-Iron impellers lasting about five times longer than grey iron.

Selection notes

Select by duty point on the 50 Hz performance map, then the impeller material and installation type (submerged guide-rail, free-standing or dry). Check explosion-proof need, cable length, control (MAS 801 monitoring, SmartRun controller) and spare seals. The small sibling Flygt N 3085 is already listed, and further pumps are in pumps.

Documents and quotation

The attached Xylem brochure is the Flygt N-technology pump series document and is range level, not a single 3153 data sheet; the exact 3153 curves, discharge sizes and motor options need confirming at quotation.

About brand

Submersible pumping for wastewater is the field Flygt works in, with roots in Sweden going back to 1901, and its pumps and mixers sit in lift stations and treatment plants around the world. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Flygt submersible wastewater pumps, including the N 3085, the N 3153, the F 3153 chopper pump and the Concertor pumping system, together with the 4410 mixer, and sources Flygt submersible pumps and spare parts for utilities, contractors and industrial sites in Oman.

Flygt pump families we handle

The manufacturer groups its wastewater pumps into N-technology pumps, the Concertor series and channel impeller pumps, alongside submersible dewatering pumps, mixers and pump monitoring units such as the MAS 801. The N 3085 listed here belongs to the N-technology line, which is built around an impeller meant to keep passing rags and solids instead of clogging. Concertor combines the pump with built-in control electronics. Older units may carry ITT Flygt on the data plate; the model number is read the same way.

Ordering Flygt pumps and parts: what we need

Send everything on the pump data plate: model number, version, serial number, impeller or curve code, motor rating, voltage and frequency. For a new pump add flow, head, the liquid and its solids content, and whether the pump sits on guide rails in a wet well, is portable or is dry mounted. For Flygt spare parts anywhere in the GCC, a clear photo of the data plate plus the part description lets us match the manufacturer's parts list.
