Caprari E6NVX and E8NVX 6 and 8 Inch Stainless Borehole Pumps
Description
Stainless 6 and 8 inch borehole pumps for water wells
The Caprari E6NVX and E8NVX series are electric borehole pumps for 6 inch and 8 inch wells, built with stainless steel hydraulics and driven by Caprari submersible motors on 2 poles at 50 Hz. The catalogue (code 998937B/05-26) covers six hydraulic sizes, E6NVX17, E6NVX30, E6NVX46, E6NVX60, E8NVX77 and E8NVX95, each in many stage counts, paired with MAC or MPC submersible motors. In their standard construction the pumps are suitable for chemically and mechanically non-aggressive water.
Pump components in the materials list are stainless steel (valve casing, conical valve, shaft, shaft sleeve, impeller, diffuser, cable guard, coupling, suction support and strainer), with rubber shaft bearing bushes and stainless steel bolts and nuts. The catalogue lists a Defender item in the construction drawing. Performance is stated for 400 V powered motors, cold water at 15 C and atmospheric pressure, guaranteed to UNI/ISO 9906 Grade 3B, with Grade 2B testing on request.

The ranges are derived from the printed tables; maximum pump outside diameter is 145 or 146 mm for the 6 in models and 180 mm for the 8 in models. Weights are for pump plus motor combinations listed in the dimension table.
Reading the code and choosing a model
The code E6NVX17-6/8-W reads: E.NVX series, 6 inch nominal diameter, hydraulic identification number 17, motor coupling flange -6, 8 stages, and -W for a unit used at 50 or 60 Hz. A complete pump adds the motor, for example E6NVX17/8+MAC67A-8V, where MAC is the submersible motor, 6 the nominal diameter in inches, 7 the nominal power in CV, and -8 the construction feature code.
Pick the hydraulic by flow first: the E6NVX17 suits flows up to about 25 m3/h on the table, while the E8NVX95 table runs to 126 m3/h. Then choose the number of stages to deliver the head, remembering that the catalogue head includes friction losses in the check valve for radial pumps but that, for mixed-flow pumps, the valve losses must be deducted from the listed head. The next step is the motor: check that its power covers the duty point and that cable section and length, voltage drop and generator size are within the cable and generator tables included in the catalogue.
- Confirm the well diameter against the pump diameter (145, 146 or 180 mm maximum).
- Check water temperature and sand content (50 g/m3 maximum) against the stated limits.
- Provide for a minimum water speed past the motor jacket for cooling.
- Specify the check valve, cable and any accessories listed on the catalogue accessories pages.
Uses, limits and what to confirm
Borehole pumps of this size supply municipal wells, farm and landscape irrigation, industrial water and desalination feed or camp water supply across Oman and the GCC. The catalogue limits are firm: 50 g/m3 solids, 30 C at the motor cooling, and 3 minutes on a closed outlet. Where water is more aggressive, sandy or hotter than those limits, ask Caprari about other series, because this catalogue describes only the standard construction.
No ATEX, fire-pump, drinking-water or marine approval is printed on the cover pages of this catalogue for the E6NVX and E8NVX, so none is claimed. The catalogue also provides the motor material list, dynamic momentum values, feeding cables and maximum current and length tables, generator power and reactive power compensation tables, which a pump engineer should use for the sizing.
Selection and installation notes
A borehole pump must be matched to the well: confirm the casing diameter, the pumping water level, the depth of installation, the sand content and the water quality before ordering. Keep the motor submerged and above the well bottom, use a cooling sleeve where the manual asks for one, protect the motor with the right starter and cable and start the pump against a throttled valve until the water runs clear.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
Documents, related items and quotation
The official Caprari catalogue is attached. Other pumps are listed under pumps. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat; send the well diameter, depth, static and dynamic levels, flow and head, and the water analysis, and we will confirm the hydraulic, stage count and motor against the Caprari catalogue before quoting.
