EUCHNER CES-AP-CL2-AH-SB-111747 RFID Safety Switch, M12
Description
A non-contact RFID safety switch for I/O-block connection
The CES-AP-CL2-AH-SB-111747 (order number 111747) is a EUCHNER CES-AP safety switch with RFID unicode coding. Its 0.2 m PUR connecting cable ends in an M12 plug connector, which is what makes this variant convenient for direct connection to decentralized IP67 I/O modules; EUCHNER names the Siemens ET 200pro and ET 200eco, Murr MVK and Beckhoff EP1957 as examples. Each actuator is highly coded, the switch only recognises taught-in actuators, and only the last taught-in actuator is detected.
Two redundant semiconductor safety outputs with internal monitoring and test pulses give the device Category 4 / PL e (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (EN IEC 62061) suitability, with a PFH of 1.8 x 10^-9 per hour. A STATE and a DIA LED show switching state and diagnostics.

Actuators, distances and mounting
The actuator is not included. EUCHNER lists CES-A-BDN-06-104730 and the CES-A-BLN-R2-100776, -U2-103450, -L2-104510 and -U2-112710 actuators for this switch. EUCHNER’s typical-operating-distance diagram refers to a CES-A-BLN actuator with the switch mounted on plastic; the actuating range changes with actuator, substrate material and installation, so verify it against the operating instructions. For a side approach the minimum distance is 6 mm so the side lobes are not entered, and adjacent switches need at least 400 mm between them.
For hinged doors the page quotes a left-hand door hinge variant. If you need a plain M12 variant for cabinet use or a coded set with an actuator included, compare with the EUCHNER CES-I-BR-C07 non-contact set already listed on our site.

About brand
EUCHNER is the German maker of safety switches, guard locking devices, enabling switches, safety controllers and multiple limit switches for machine safety and motion control. Its history began in 1940, when Emil Euchner set up an engineering office near Stuttgart; he developed the first multiple limit switch in 1952 and founded EUCHNER + Co. in 1953. The family-owned company is headquartered in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list EUCHNER safety components for machine builders and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.

Milestones
- 1940: Emil Euchner sets up an engineering office.
- 1952: He develops the first multiple limit switch.
- 1953: EUCHNER + Co. is founded.
EUCHNER product series
Guard locking switches include the transponder-coded CTP, CTA and CTS series, the CTM with BiState guard locking, the STP twin switch and the electromechanical TX1B and TZ series. The MGB2 Multifunctional Gate Box combines guard locking, handle and control elements on one door. Non-contact switches include the CES-IA set and the CES-AP RFID safety switch, and the CTP-I version provides monitoring without guard locking.
Control devices include the ZSM and ZSB three-position enabling switches, the RPS emergency stop rope pull switch, the ESM safety relays (including versions with time-delayed contacts and the ESM-TE301 expansion) and the MSC modular safety controller.
Where EUCHNER components are used
Safety guards and doors on machine tools, robot cells, presses, packaging machines and conveyor systems, emergency stop along conveyors and enabling during setup and teaching. A switch or actuator is one part of a safety function; the complete system must be designed and validated for its application.
