Where Endress+Hauser instruments are used

In Oman and the GCC, Endress+Hauser instruments are common in oil and gas production and processing, refineries and petrochemicals, desalination and water networks, wastewater treatment, power plants and food and beverage plants. Coriolis meters measure hydrocarbon and chemical flows, electromagnetic meters cover water and wastewater, radar transmitters handle tank and silo level, and Liquiline analysers monitor water quality. Proline 300 and 500 flowmeters include Heartbeat Technology for in-situ verification, which reduces the need to remove a meter for checks.

Ordering Endress+Hauser instruments: what we need

The order code on the nameplate (for example PMP71-1QA1S11RDADU) defines every option: measuring range, process connection, materials, output, approvals and display. Send it with the serial number; Endress+Hauser can retrieve the original configuration from the serial number. For a new instrument add the medium, operating and design pressure and temperature, range, line size or tank geometry, process connection, wetted materials, output or protocol (4-20 mA HART, PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus) and the hazardous-area approval required. Older models such as Promass 80/83 or Micropilot M are replaced by current Proline or 80 GHz Micropilot devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I read an Endress+Hauser order code?
The first block is the product root, such as PMP71 or FMR62, and each following character selects an option: approval, measuring range, process connection, materials, output and housing. The full code on the nameplate defines the instrument exactly, so send it complete together with the serial number.
Which Endress+Hauser flowmeter suits my application?
Promass Coriolis meters measure mass flow and density directly and suit hydrocarbons and chemicals. Promag electromagnetic meters suit water and other conductive liquids. Prowirl vortex meters suit steam and gases, and t-mass thermal meters suit compressed air and industrial gases.
What is the difference between Micropilot and Levelflex?
Micropilot is free-space radar that measures level without contact, through an antenna at the top of the tank. Levelflex is guided wave radar, where the signal runs along a rod or cable probe; it suits small vessels, low dielectric liquids and interface measurement.
What is Heartbeat Technology?
Heartbeat Technology is a diagnostic and verification function in current Endress+Hauser instruments such as Proline 300 and 500 flowmeters. It checks the device in place and produces a verification report, which can reduce the need to remove the meter for calibration checks.
Can old Endress+Hauser models still be supplied?
Some older series, such as Promass 80 and 83 or Micropilot M, have been replaced. We identify the current successor from the original order code and confirm differences in dimensions, process connection, wiring and approvals before quoting.
