Posi Lock TK-107 4-in-1 Internal and External Puller Set

The Posi Lock TK-107 is a four-in-one internal and external puller set built around a redesigned 5-ton Model 107 puller. By removing the pins and giving the jaw head a one-third turn, the same Safety Cage that pulls bearings off a shaft is converted to pull from the inside of a bore.

Four pulling jobs in one hard-shell case

Maintenance crews often face both kinds of pull in a single job: a bearing or gear on a shaft, then a bushing, seal or race inside a housing. The TK-107 gives them one patented steel Safety Cage that houses both internal and external jaws, so the set replaces several separate tools.

For internal pulls the set adds internal jaws, a slide rod and a 2.5 lb slide hammer, plus an internal puller long-jaw set, all stored with the puller in a single case.

What is in the case and how it is used

The maker lists the contents as one Model 107 puller, one P4 tip protector, one 10561 slide rod, one 10554 internal puller jaw set, one 2.5 lb slide hammer, three pieces of the 10554L long-jaw set and the case. The tip protector sits on the center bolt to protect the shaft end during external pulls.

The external pull follows the standard Posi Lock procedure from the instruction sheet: set the jaws behind the component, seat the cage, centre the bolt and turn it with a wrench until the part moves. The internal pull uses the slide rod and hammer to jar the part out of the bore. Inspect the jaws and thread before each use, wear eye protection and replace damaged parts.

Choosing between the TK-107 and related sets

At 15.8 lb (7.2 kg) and 34 inches long the case is built for a toolbox, and it is a different proposition from the hydraulic pullers in the same range. If your shafts are large or the press fit is heavy, a hydraulic model such as the PHA-108 or PHA-113 is more suitable. The maker’s TB-1045 set combines a Model 104 and a Model 105 puller, and the PM16 and PMW-1 sets are also shown as related.
