Brand:

perma FLEX Single-Point Lubricator, 60 and 125 cm³

Description

A ready-to-use lubricator with a dial for the discharge period

perma FLEX is a compact, fully assembled automatic lubrication system from perma-tec for single lubrication points. You turn the dial on top to the discharge period you want, between 1 and 12 months, and the system starts: an electronically controlled chemical reaction builds the pressure that pushes fresh lubricant to the point continuously.

It is offered with 60 or 125 cm³ of lubricant, works indoors and outdoors from -20 °C to +60 °C, and its IP 68 rating suits very dusty and wet areas. The discharge period can still be changed after activation and the unit can be switched off during long stand-stills.

Choosing between FLEX and its neighbours

Select FLEX where a simple dial-set unit is enough and the temperature stays within -20 to +60 °C. If you need a boost discharge, choose FLEX PLUS; if the ambient temperature swings widely, NOVA compensates electronically; for precise, temperature-independent metering or longer remote lines, the electromechanical STAR VARIO or ULTRA are the better fit. Work out the cartridge size from the bearing relubrication quantity divided by the interval you want.

The table shows where the other perma single-point models sit.

Model Volume Pressure build-up
perma CLASSIC / FUTURA 120 cm³ Max. 4 bar
perma FLEX 60, 125 cm³ Max. 5 bar
perma FLEX PLUS 30, 60, 125 cm³ Max. 5 bar
perma NOVA 65, 125 cm³ Max. 6 bar
perma STAR VARIO 60, 120, 250, 500 cm³ 7.5 bar
perma STAR CONTROL 60, 120, 250, 500 cm³ 7.5 bar
perma ULTRA 500, 1,000 cm³ Up to 50 bar

Mounting and set-up

Follow the Quick Start Guide: choose the lubricant (the guide uses perma MULTI LC 150-2 (SF01) as an example), the discharge period and the connecting parts, then clean the lubrication point, remove the grease fitting, add sealant, and pre-fill the point and any line with the same grease. For remote mounting the guide shows a support flange (109685), a push-lock hose connector for 9.5 mm inside-diameter hose (116624) and heavy-duty hose (101555). Turn the switch to the period, remove the plug and note the exchange date on the label. Compare with our SKF TLSD SYSTEM 24 single-point lubricator or browse pumps and lubrication equipment.

How the perma FLEX works

The perma FLEX is a sealed lubricator that makes its own pressure. A gas generating unit sits inside the housing. When you turn the dial and activate the unit, an electrochemical reaction starts and releases gas slowly. The gas pushes a piston, and the piston forces grease or oil out through the R1/4 outlet to the lubrication point. The dial sets the discharge period, from 1 to 12 months at +20 degrees C. No battery, pump or electrical supply is needed on site.

Where the perma FLEX is used

  • Electric motor bearings
  • Pumps and fans
  • Conveyor rollers and idlers
  • Hard to reach lubrication points
  • Dusty or wet areas that suit IP 68

Selection checklist for the perma FLEX

  • Lubricant volume: 60 or 125 cm3
  • Discharge period of 1 to 12 months
  • Grease up to NLGI 2 or oil fill
  • Ambient temperature from minus 20 to plus 60 degrees C
  • Outlet thread R1/4 and fitting to the point
  • Length of any line from the unit to the bearing
  • Hazardous area marking, if needed
  • Space for the 58 mm diameter body

Installation, commissioning and maintenance notes for the perma FLEX

Screw the unit onto the lubrication point by its R1/4 thread, or onto a short line. Set the dial to the discharge period you want, then activate the system as the instructions say. Write the activation date on the unit. Check that grease is reaching the point and look at the piston position now and then. Replace the whole unit when it is empty. The discharge period can be changed after activation, and the unit can be switched off during a long stand-still.

Requesting a quotation for the perma FLEX

Please send the lubricant, the volume, the discharge period, the ambient temperature and the quantity. Seven Star LLC serves industrial customers in Oman and the GCC and replies with a quotation based on the information provided.

perma FLEX sizes

The perma FLEX 60 measures 58 mm in diameter by 86.5 mm. The perma FLEX 125 measures 58 mm by 117 mm.

perma FLEX pressure

The pressure build-up is at most 5 bar. The unit is rated IP 68.

perma FLEX lubricants

Standard and special greases up to NLGI 2 are used. Oil-filled units have an oil retaining valve with a red plug.

perma FLEX approvals shown on the flyer

Lubrication records for the perma FLEX

Record the point, the activation date, the discharge period and the replacement date.

Choosing the right perma FLEX model

Choose FLEX PLUS for a boost discharge, NOVA for wide temperature swings, and STAR VARIO or ULTRA for precise metering.

Documents and quotation

About brand

perma-tec is a German maker of automatic single-point and multi-point lubrication systems, founded in 1934 and based in Euerdorf.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list perma lubricators for maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.

perma product series

Chemically driven lubricators include the perma CLASSIC 120 cm³ steel housing unit, the perma FLEX in 60 and 125 cm³ sizes, the perma FLEX PLUS with boost function and the perma NOVA, which compensates for temperature.

Electromechanical lubricators include the perma STAR VARIO, the externally powered perma STAR CONTROL and the high-pressure perma ULTRA with Bluetooth in 500 and 1,000 cm³. Multi-point systems include the perma PRO LINE six-outlet grease system and the perma ECOSY 7-litre oil system.

Chemically driven lubricators such as perma CLASSIC and FLEX use a gas-producing element to set the discharge period, while electromechanical STAR models deliver a set volume independent of temperature and can be monitored. perma PRO LINE and ECOSY supply several points from one reservoir.

Where perma lubricators are used

Bearings of motors, pumps, fans and conveyors, chains, slides and guides, especially hard-to-reach or hazardous points where manual greasing is difficult.
