Brand:

Bijur Delimon SureMatic Air-Operated Grease and Oil Lubricator

Description

Air-driven pump for grease or oil centralized systems

The SureMatic Lubricator is a piston discharge pump actuated by air and controlled, optionally, by an electric solenoid valve. Models handle grease or oil and are offered in 1, 2, 3.5 and 5 litre reservoirs. The datasheets cover two system types: progressive systems with divider blocks, and PDI systems with positive displacement injectors.

On the forward air stroke the unit discharges lubricant into the single-line network; on the spring return stroke a two-way outlet check valve vents pressure back to the reservoir in PDI service. A weighted follower plate in grease models removes the need for a spring.

Installation and accessories

Mount in an upright vertical position only, and do not overfill grease reservoirs: the reservoir may burst if pressurized above 150 psi. Fill with the recommended grease, actuate the pump until discharge is free of air, then connect the feed line; bleed air trapped under the follower plate through the bleed valve. A solenoid and air regulator assembly (21975) and the SS2200 remote controller are listed accessories. See pumps and lubrication equipment.

How the Bijur Delimon SureMatic works

The SureMatic is a piston pump driven by compressed air. On the forward air stroke, the piston pushes a measured amount of grease or oil into a single supply line. On the return stroke a spring brings the piston back, and the reservoir refills the pump chamber. In PDI systems a check valve vents the line pressure back to the reservoir, so the injectors can reset. A solenoid valve on the air line can start each stroke at set times.

Where the SureMatic is used

  • Centralised lubrication of machine tools and presses
  • Conveyors and material handling equipment
  • Mobile and construction machinery
  • Plants that have air but no suitable electric supply
  • Progressive and PDI lubrication systems

Selection checklist for the SureMatic

  • Lubricant: grease up to NLGI 2 or oil from 150 to 8000 SSU
  • Reservoir size: 1, 2, 3.5 or 5 litres
  • System type: progressive with divider blocks or PDI with injectors
  • Discharge per stroke: 1 to 8 cc for progressive, or 8 cc for PDI
  • Air pressure of 40 to 150 psi
  • Level switch needed
  • Ambient temperature of -18 to 82 degrees C
  • Part number for the chosen model

Installation, commissioning and maintenance notes

Mount the pump where the reservoir can be seen and filled easily. Supply clean, dry air through a filter and regulator, and connect the outlet to the lubrication line. Fill the reservoir with clean lubricant of the right grade and bleed the air from the line. Set the stroke volume, run the pump manually to check that every point gets lubricant, and then set the timing. Check the level and the lines at planned stops.

Lubrication records for SureMatic

Keep the lubricant grade, the stroke setting and the refill dates with the maintenance file.

Choosing the right SureMatic model

Start from the lubricant and the number of points, then pick the reservoir, the pump type and the level switch. Check that the compressed air supply gives the pressure the pump needs.

SureMatic air supply

Fit a filter, regulator and lubricator-free dry air line so the pump runs smoothly and the stroke stays consistent over time.
