Description
An eight-channel 4-20 mA gas controller in a NEMA 4X case
The RKI Beacon 800 is a low-cost, microprocessor-controlled fixed-system controller for one to eight gas-detection points. It accepts up to eight separate 4-20 mA transmitters, two- or three-wire, and two backlit alphanumeric displays show the gas type and concentration of all eight channels at once. It is powered from 24 VDC or 85 to 264 VAC, and comes with a wall-mount installation kit.

Where it fits in the Beacon range
RKI offers the Beacon 110 (one channel), 200 (two), 410A (four), 800 (eight) and 3200 (32 channels, colour touchscreen, direct-connect sensors and Modbus TCP/IP). The Beacon 800 suits small and mid-size plants where every sensor is a 4-20 mA transmitter and the 3 A relays can drive horns, buzzers or beacons directly without external relays. RKI lists petrochemical plants, refineries, water and wastewater plants, pulp and paper mills, utilities, parking garages, manufacturing, steel, automotive and HVAC applications.
The Beacon 800 datasheet lists no hazardous-area rating for the controller itself, so confirm the mounting location with the supplier; transmitters in classified zones need their own approvals, for example the RKI M2A-XL or T3A. Confirm the transmitter signal type, relay load and supply voltage before ordering.

RKI product series
