Description
Top-mounted cooling units with patented condensate protection
The Pfannenberg DTT 6301 is a roof-mounted eCool cooling unit of 1500 to 1620 W, and its larger sibling the DTT 6401 delivers 2000 to 2100 W. Top-mounted units free up the side and door area and are chosen for tall cabinets and where wall space is limited. The sheet lists three installation sizes and six performance classes in the DTT range, a four-fold protection against condensate through a patented management system, and toolless mounting through a quick installation frame.
The complete cover is removable towards the front, so filter mats and controls are accessible from the front, and the sheet claims around 20 % energy saving through more efficient and lighter components, with an optional multi-controller with an energy-saving mode. Stainless steel versions are available.

Selection and what to confirm before ordering
Select the size from the heat load at the maximum site ambient, using the A35/A50 column for hot rooms. The roof opening must be free and the roof area must carry the weight of 40 to 51 kg; check the structure. A top-mounted unit needs a free air path around its condenser. The external air flow of 1820 to 1970 m³/h is about twice the internal flow of 885 to 990 m³/h, and the noise level below 62 dB(A) should be considered for cabinets standing in operator areas. Confirm the voltage version, the controller (standard or multi-controller), the cover (powder-coated or stainless) and the filter accessories. Pfannenberg is the German maker of thermal management and signalling products for electrical enclosures and industry: filter fans, cooling units, air-to-water heat exchangers, chillers, heaters, sirens and beacons. Otto Pfannenberg, an electrical engineer, founded the company in Hamburg in 1954, and in 1958 he invented the filter fan to stop components in control cabinets from overheating. Pfannenberg is still family-owned and headquartered in Hamburg.
