Brand:

Rheonik RHM06 Coriolis Mass Flow Meter Sensor 36 kg/min

Description

The smallest Rheonik industrial Coriolis meter for dosing and batching

The Rheonik RHM06 is a compact Coriolis mass flow sensor for small streams: its typical range tops out at 36 kg/min and it can measure down to about 100 g/min. Rheonik positions it for additive dosing, chemical injection, mixing and batching, and package and container filling. A two-tube design measures mass flow, density and temperature in the same body, and because the tubes can be fitted for pressures up to 1722 bar the RHM06 also suits high-pressure injection lines where a smaller meter would be derated.

It is a sensor only; a Rheonik RHE transmitter converts its signals into outputs, either mounted on the sensor or remotely over cable of up to 100 m.

Pressure rating by tube material

The maximum pressure is set by the weakest of the tube, connection block and process connection. At 50 C the datasheet lists 213 bar for the standard SS 316L tube (P1), 300 bar for Alloy C22 (H1), 580 bar for P2 and D2, 910 bar for D3, 1234 bar for D4 and 1722 bar for the Super Duplex D5 tube. A tantalum tube (T1) is rated 118 bar. Super Duplex tubes have a minimum operating temperature of -40 C. Threaded connection blocks are rated 700 bar (PM) or 1220 bar (PH).

Selecting and ordering

The order code has 15 fields covering temperature range, tube material and pressure, design type, process connection, terminal box, calibration and options. For a low-flow dosing line choose a serial-tube SM design when the fluid tends to clog, and a parallel-tube PM design for standard solutions with short delivery time. Threaded connections are G 1/2, 1/2 NPT or Autoclave 9/16 in, while flanges run from ANSI 1 in 150# to 1500# or DIN DN25. Face-to-face length is 80 mm for standard threaded blocks and 280 mm for 1 in 150# flanges, with a tolerance of 2 mm.

Reading the order code

Field 1 is the performance class: S is the classic multi-purpose high-accuracy meter and P is the premium highest-accuracy meter. Field 2 sets the fluid temperature range: N1 is -20 to +120 C, NA is -50 to +120 C, EM is -20 to +160 C, E2 is -50 to +210 C, E3 is -196 to +50 C and H4 is -20 to +350 C. The design-type field chooses PM or PH (parallel connection block, the latter high pressure), SM (serial block), PF (sealless, flange or hub) or PT (sealless, threaded), and the seal field offers FKM, FFKM, FVMQ, EPDM or HNBR. Housing codes add an optional rupture disc, with or without a G 3/4 in drain connection. The datasheet gives hub code H10 (G-Lok 1 in) and flanges from ANSI 1/2 in to 1 in and DIN DN15 and DN25 in PN40 and PN100.

Check each field against the application before you request a quote, because the pressure and temperature ratings in the table above apply to specific code combinations.

Hazardous areas and certification

Approvals are given by order code: ATEX and IECEx for Zone 0, 1 and 2, and North American Class I, Div. 1 and 2, groups A to D. Marine approval from DNV and CCS, OIML and MID custody transfer certification are also listed in the datasheet, so check which apply to the exact order code before ordering.

Typical use in Oman and the Gulf

Additive and corrosion-inhibitor skids at gas plants, chemical injection on wellheads and pipelines, laboratory pilot plants and filling stations commonly need small, accurate mass flow rather than volume flow.

Selection and installation notes

A Coriolis sensor is sized from the flow range and the pressure drop, so confirm the fluid, density, viscosity, operating pressure and temperature before ordering. Mount the sensor on a rigid support without stressing the pipe, keep it full of liquid, avoid mounting where vibration from pumps reaches it and follow the orientation and drain advice in the manual. Zero the meter with no flow once the line is full, record the settings, and choose the electronics and output type that match the control system.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand

Rheonik designs and manufactures Coriolis mass flow meters and the transmitters that drive them, with its head office in Odelzhausen, Germany. Seven Star LLC, an independent supplier in Muscat, lists Rheonik sensors and transmitters with their official datasheets for oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical and filling applications in Oman and the GCC.

Rheonik sensors and transmitters

The RHM sensor range spans small dosing meters of a few kilograms per minute to large terminal meters rated for tens of thousands of kilograms per minute, with tube materials and pressure ratings chosen through the order code. The RHE transmitters cover Ex d field mounting, wall mounting, all-digital fieldbus electronics and compact panel or DIN rail units.

Specifying a Rheonik meter

Give the fluid, flow range, line pressure and temperature, process connection and hazardous area class. Remember that sensor and transmitter approvals must match. Send these details with a request for quotation and we will confirm the full order code before ordering.
