Camfil Absolute VGHF13-592x592x292-0P H13 HEPA Compact Filter

Description

A compact H13 HEPA filter with a header frame for AHU upgrades

The Camfil Absolute VGHF13-592x592x292-0P is a compact V-bank HEPA filter classified H13 under EN 1822, with an ABS 25 mm header frame and glass fibre media. Camfil describes the application as EPA/HEPA final filtration in air conditioning systems and industrial processes and highlights the easy HEPA upgrade of an AHU, a high airflow of up to 2.3 m/s and the fact that the filter is completely incinerable.

The 592 x 592 x 292 mm size is the full-size unit in the range, rated for 3,000 m3/h with an initial pressure drop of 250 Pa and 28 m2 of media. Each filter is auto-tested to ISO 29463 and individually packed in PE foil, as stated in the comment line of the data sheet.

Features from the datasheet

  • Completely incinerable construction (ABS frame).
  • High airflow, up to 2.3 m/s face velocity.
  • Easy HEPA upgrade of an air handling unit thanks to the header frame.
  • Polyurethane endless foamed gasket or flat gasket (gasket available on request).
  • Auto-tested according to ISO 29463 and individually packed in PE foil.

VGHF11, VGHF13 and VGHF14 at 592 x 592 x 292

Type EN 1822 class Airflow Initial pressure drop
VGHF11-592x592x292-0P E11 3,000 m3/h 165 Pa
VGHF13-592x592x292-0P (this page) H13 3,000 m3/h 250 Pa
VGHF14-592x592x292-0P H14 3,000 m3/h 300 Pa

The suffixes 0P and F both appear in the sheet at each class and size. The datasheet does not define them, and the note under the table says only that a gasket is available on request. Ask the supplier to confirm what 0P and F mean before ordering.

Final pressure drop and filter life

The recommended final pressure drop is two times the initial, which is 500 Pa here (derived), and the maximum final is also 500 Pa, so the window to the limit is closed. Plan to replace the filter once the pressure drop reaches 500 Pa and monitor it with a gauge. HEPA filters are normally replaced when the resistance limit is reached or when the leak test fails, not on a schedule alone (general practice).

Where it is applied

The listed uses are EPA/HEPA final filtration in air conditioning systems and industrial processes. In practice that covers pharmaceutical packing rooms, electronics assembly areas, hospital support spaces and laboratories where a standard F9 filter is not enough; the sheet itself names no specific industry, so confirm suitability against the project standard.

A HEPA stage demands upstream protection: place a pre-filter and a fine bag or box filter before it to preserve its life.

Sizes printed for the H13 grade

Type Airflow Initial pressure drop Media area Weight
VGHF13-592x287x292-0P 1,350 m3/h 250 Pa 13 m2 3.5 kg
VGHF13-592x490x292-0P 2,450 m3/h 250 Pa 23 m2 6 kg
VGHF13-592x592x292-0P (this page) 3,000 m3/h 250 Pa 28 m2 10 kg

All three sizes keep 250 Pa at their rated flow, so a larger frame simply moves more air. The same sizes exist in H14 at 300 Pa and E11 at 165 Pa, and with the F suffix in place of 0P. Use the 592 x 592 module where the AHU filter rack is built for 592 mm bag filters, which is the purpose of the header-frame design.

The sheet states pressure drop tolerance as plus or minus 10 percent, so the 250 Pa figure ranges from about 225 to 275 Pa (derived) on delivery.

Installation notes

With a header frame the filter can be fitted into an AHU sealed against the frame by its gasket. Check the available depth: 292 mm plus the frame. The sheet gives a 70 degC temperature limit. Because the frame and the filter are incinerable, disposal of used filters can be done by incineration in line with site rules for contaminated filters. See other filtration elements.

Fitting and replacement notes

HEPA filters must be handled carefully, since a damaged media pack or leaking seal defeats the filtration class. Keep the filter in its foil until the moment of installation, seat the header frame evenly against the housing seal and, where the project requires it, arrange a leak test after installation. Fit appropriate prefilters upstream to protect the HEPA stage.

Information needed for a quotation

Send the full filter code, the quantity, the housing or frame type it must fit, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and any prefilters or accessories, so that the complete filter set can be quoted together.

Documents and supply information

The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Filter class, airflow, pressure drop and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand

Camfil is a Swedish air filtration company that has worked on clean air since 1963 and is headquartered in Stockholm. It supplies filters and filtration systems for commercial and industrial air handling, cleanrooms, air pollution control, molecular contamination control and gas turbine and engine air intakes.

Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Camfil filters against the exact type code on the Camfil data sheet, for HVAC contractors, facility teams and plant engineers in Oman and the GCC.

Camfil product series

Bag filters include the Cam-Flo ES ePM1 70%, the Basic-Flo ePM10 70% economy bag, the Hi-Cap CO60 coarse prefilter and the City-Flo ePM1 85% bag with activated carbon for urban air. The 30/30 panel prefilter is a pleated ePM10 50% filter for the first stage of an air handling unit.

Compact and box filters include the Opakair F8 and Airopac F7 filters, and HEPA filters include the Absolute VG H13 compact filter and the Megalam ProSafe MX14 H14 panel for cleanrooms and controlled environments. The CamClose compact coalescing pre-filter protects gas turbine and engine intakes against salt and moisture.

Where Camfil filters are used

Air handling units in offices, malls, hospitals and hotels, cleanrooms and laboratories, pharmaceutical and food plants, data centres, and gas turbine and compressor air intakes, where dust and humidity in the Gulf climate shorten filter life.

Ordering Camfil filters: what we need

Send the Camfil type code, or the filter class (ISO 16890 ePM rating or EN 1822 HEPA class), the face size and depth, the number of pockets for bag filters, the frame material, the airflow and the quantity. A photo of the label on the old filter usually gives all of this.
