SVA-L 25: a long-neck stop valve for insulated low-temperature lines
Danfoss 148B5441 is an SVA-L 25, the long-neck version of the SVA stop valve, with 25 mm (1 in) butt-weld connections and a steel body. The neck is longer than on the SVA-S, which lifts the bonnet and spindle gland out of the pipe insulation and keeps the sealing area above the cold zone. Net weight is 3.65 kg.
The printed ratings are a Kv value of 24.8 m3/h, a maximum working pressure of 52 bar (754 psig) and a temperature range of -60 to 150 C. The valve has a protective cap in place of a handwheel, bi-flow, an embossed arrow and EAC and UA approvals.

Why a long neck matters
On cold lines the insulation stops at the valve, and condensation or ice can form around a short neck and gland. The extended neck of the SVA-L keeps the insulation continuous around the line, which reduces ice build-up on the spindle and makes service easier. Choose it for suction lines, brine and low-temperature liquid lines in cold stores.
The 25 mm size has 24.8 m3/h Kv, which is more than three times the Kv of the SVA-S 15, so it passes branch flows to an evaporator or oil separator without noticeable drop. The cap is removed with a spanner; a wrench key or handwheel accessory can be ordered separately.
Installation and ordering notes
Install with the stem vertical or horizontal; avoid positions where condensed liquid collects in the neck. Follow the SVA-S/L 15-200 installation guide for welding, and wrap insulation continuously around the neck. This is a SVL Flexline body with spare parts available.
Confirm connection type, neck length, and whether you need a handwheel version. Check the refrigerant and temperature limits on the data sheet before ordering; stainless-steel versions exist as the SVA-L SS series.

Choosing Danfoss products
For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.
