Yarway

Steam engineers have known the Yarway name since 1908, mostly from boiler houses and turbine halls. The brand covers steam traps, desuperheaters and other valves that sit in the steam and feedwater loop of a power or process plant. Seven Star LLC lists Yarway desuperheaters and drip and tracer steam traps and supplies them to plants in Oman, working from the tag data and the manufacturer’s sizing sheets.

Two product groups are on this page. The first is the desuperheater line: the AT-18/28 and AT-38/48 models and the TempLow 4300, which inject spray water into superheated steam to bring it down to a set temperature. The second is the Series 751/761 steam trap for drip legs and tracer lines, a design whose internals can be renewed without cutting the trap out of the line.

Ordering Yarway equipment: what we need

A desuperheater is sized, not picked from a list. Send steam flow at minimum, normal and maximum load, inlet pressure and temperature, the outlet temperature required, spray water pressure and temperature, and the pipe size and schedule. For steam traps, give the series and connection size from the body, the line pressure and the back pressure. Nameplate photos help with older units found in power stations across the GCC.
