SVA-S 15: a small steel angle stop valve with handwheel for industrial refrigeration lines
Danfoss 148B5200 is an SVA-S 15 shut-off (stop) valve from the SVL Flexline range. The body is steel with 15 mm (1/2 in) butt-weld connections to EN 10220, an angleway flow path and a standard neck. This code carries a handwheel, which makes the valve quick to operate by hand on small branch lines and instrument take-offs.
The printed ratings are a maximum working pressure of 52 bar (754 psig), a temperature range of -60 to 150 C and a Kv value of 7 m3/h. The flow is bi-flow, so the valve can be fitted with either side as the inlet, and the body is painted reddish brown. The approvals listed are EAC and UA.

Where the SVA-S 15 is used
SVA-S valves isolate sections of ammonia, CO2 and HFC plant for service, and are placed at evaporator inlets and outlets, on oil drains and on gauge or purge branches. The size 15 is the smallest in the SVA-S line, so it is common on pilot lines, sample points and compact heat exchanger connections.

Choosing Danfoss products
For solenoid valves, check the operating principle. A direct-operated valve such as EV210B opens even at 0 bar differential pressure. A servo-operated valve such as EV220B needs a minimum differential (typically about 0.3 bar) to open, while an assisted-lift valve such as EV250B works from 0 bar. Coils are ordered separately, so the voltage on the coil (for example 230 V AC or 24 V DC) must match the control circuit. For drives, the VLT family is split by application: FC 51 Micro Drive for small machines, FC 102 HVAC Drive for fans and pumps in buildings, FC 202 AQUA Drive for water, and FC 302 AutomationDrive for demanding industrial duty.
