Riello UPS Master HP MHT 100-600 kVA Three-Phase UPS

Description

The Riello UPS Master HP MHT is a transformer-based, three-phase ON LINE double-conversion UPS from 100 to 600 kVA for data centres, industrial loads and other installations where the UPS must tolerate harsh supply conditions. It combines an IGBT rectifier with a delta zig-zag output isolation transformer housed inside the cabinet, which gives complete galvanic separation between the load and the battery. The same datasheet covers the Master HE high-efficiency variant (100 to 800 kVA, power factor 1).

Isolated, zero-impact UPS for generators, industrial plant and parallel systems

The IGBT rectifier delivers an input power factor of 0.99 with input current distortion under 3 percent, plus a power walk-in function and start-up delay. That lowers the oversizing needed on generator sets. The output transformer allows separate mains and bypass inputs from different sources, and no neutral is needed at the rectifier input. Riello UPS also states a high inverter short-circuit current, up to three times nominal, for clearing load-side faults.

Availability features include distributed parallel operation of up to 8 units, a centralised bypass cabinet (MSB) supporting up to 7 UPS modules, dual-bus configurations, Hot System Expansion to add a unit without switching off the system, fault-tolerant operation if the parallel cable is interrupted and an Efficiency Control Mode for parallel systems. Battery care includes deep discharge protection and temperature compensation.

Selection and site checks

Master HP is chosen where galvanic isolation, selectivity between mains and bypass and robust parallel architectures outweigh the footprint advantage of transformer-free designs. Active power of MHT is 90 percent of kVA; Master HE offers kW equal to kVA. Confirm the rated load in kW, the battery type and room, the separate-neutral or common-neutral arrangement, the number of parallel units and the isolation transformer options (TBX ISO series for separate sources). Riello UPS lists these transformers up to 600 kVA, with TBX ISO 800 for MHE 800 on request.

About brand

Riello UPS is the uninterruptible power supply brand of the Riello Elettronica Group, with design and production based in Legnago, near Verona, Italy. Its ON LINE and line-interactive UPS cover single-phase IT protection, three-phase industrial systems and modular critical-power installations. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat and lists Riello UPS models together with the manufacturer datasheets.

Riello UPS ranges for IT, industry and data centres

The Sentinel Pro2, Sentinel Dual2 and Sentinel Tower families protect servers, network equipment and small control rooms from 700 VA to 10 kVA. Sentryum, Master MPS and Master HP serve three-phase commercial and industrial loads, while NextEnergy and Multi Power2 modular systems address larger data-centre and critical-power installations. The manufacturer publishes technical data, option lists and dimensions for each range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Master HP and Master HE?
Master HP (MHT) is rated at power factor 0.9, for example 100 kVA = 90 kW. Master HE (MHE) shares the technology with output power factor 1 and a best-in-class efficiency of 95.5 percent in ON LINE mode.
Does it provide galvanic isolation?
Yes. An output isolation transformer inside the cabinet separates the load from the battery, and mains and bypass inputs can be fed from separate sources.
How many units can be paralleled?
Distributed parallel up to 8 units, or centralised parallel up to 7 units with the MSB bypass cabinet.
What is Hot System Expansion?
It allows another UPS to be added to an existing system without switching off the units already running or transferring the load to bypass.
Which battery types are supported?
VRLA AGM and GEL, NiCd, lithium-ion and supercapacitors, with one-level, two-level or cyclic recharge selectable.
