Description
A full-metal weld-immune sensor with IO-Link and IP69K protection
The Contrinex DW-AS-713-M30-693 is a non-embeddable M30 weld-immune inductive sensor with a 40 mm rated operating distance, the longest in this family. A full-metal V2A stainless steel body with an anti-spatter coating, IP68/IP69K protection and IO-Link 1.1 make it suitable for detecting parts at a distance from the weld zone.
Contrinex lists immunity to medium-frequency fields up to 15 kA and 50 Hz fields up to 40 mT, with a footnote that the distance to the welding point must be more than 50 mm. The output is PNP normally open on an M12 4-pin connector and the supply is 15 to 30 VDC.

Selection and installation notes
Because the sensor is non-embeddable, the metal around the sensing face must be kept clear: the datasheet gives 90 mm to the side, 300 mm in front and 120 mm behind the face, with steel allowed from 16 mm. Repeat accuracy is 1.4 mm, so it is a robust presence sensor for large parts, bins and carriers rather than a fine positioning sensor.
At 137 g, the housing needs a rigid bracket, and the maximum tightening torque is 150 Nm. Check the supply range (15 V minimum, unlike the smaller sizes) and the IO-Link master before ordering.
