Mersen D02GG44V63 NZ D02 gG 63A 440V Marine Fuse-Link N216718
Description
D02GG44V63 (item number N216718) is a Mersen NZ D0 screw-type fuse-link, size D02 (E18 thread), type gG, rated 63 A at 440 V ac / 250 V dc, in the datasheet section titled “Marine”. It has a copper-coloured indicator, dissipates 5.4 W at rated current and weighs 12.6 g, in packs of 50.
A D02 (DIAZED-style) screw fuse for distribution boards
Mersen describes the D0 fuse system as the most modern of the screw systems, designed for 400 V ac / 250 V dc networks and installed in low-voltage distribution units where fuse-links are accessible to non-trained persons and can also be replaced by them. The range comprises sizes D01, D02 and D03 with ratings from 2 to 100 A.
For D02 the datasheet gives the E18 thread, ratings from 20 A to 63 A with a colour code (63 A is copper, 50 A white, 35 A black) and a 50 kA ac breaking capacity for the range. The 440 V “Marine” listing carries the code GG44V; the page also lists a DNV GL certificate document for the D01-D02 fuse system. Features include an insulated body for mechanical and thermal impacts, nickel- or silver-plated contacts and a coloured indicator on the top contact.

Selection and ordering guide
Note the voltage suffix: D02GG40V63 is the 400 V version of the same size and rating (C201873), while D02GG44V63 is the 440 V Marine version. Choose according to the system voltage and your approval requirements.
D02 fuse-links need D02 (E18) bases with matching screw caps and gauge pieces; the datasheet lists screw caps (D02, E18, 63 A, with testing hole) and adapter inserts.
Installation and operation notes
Install in a D0 fuse base with the correct size adapter insert and screw cap; do not mix sizes. The datasheet states that the system is designed for networks up to 400 V ac / 250 V dc (440 V for the Marine range).
Use the coloured indicator to confirm operation and replace only with the same rating.
Derived check: 63 A at 400 V three-phase is about 44 kVA (square root of 3 x 400 V x 63 A); at 5.4 W per fuse, a three-pole group dissipates about 16 W. Remember to check the screw cap and base ratings as well, since a 63 A fuse-link needs a D02 base, adapter insert and cap that are all rated to carry 63 A at the system voltage.
Applications in Oman and the GCC
Distribution boards, meter cabinets and installation fuse boxes in residential, commercial and light industrial buildings, as well as marine panels where the 440 V Marine D0 range is specified. Verify any class-society approval with the certificate before use.
D0 screw fuses are common in older and mixed installations, so replacement parts are in regular demand.
Selection and handling notes
D02 fuses are screw-in types, so the fuse base, screw cap and the correct gauge piece must match the 63 A rating; the gauge piece prevents a higher-rated fuse from being fitted by mistake. The marine listing refers to the DNV GL document in the datasheet, so check that document against the vessel or classification requirement. Replace a fuse only with the same rating and colour code.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full item code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC and any matching fuse bases, holders or handles, so that the complete protection package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, dimensions and protection classes are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.

About brand
Mersen is a French maker of electrical power protection products and advanced graphite materials, known as Carbone Lorraine until it was renamed on 20 May 2010. Its history begins in 1891 with a carbon plant in Pagny-sur-Moselle, Lorraine, which the group still operates. In 1893 Charles Street, an engineer at Le Carbone, patented a graphitisation process for making synthetic graphite.
Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat. We list Mersen fuses with the official datasheet attached to each product page, for panel builders and maintenance teams in Oman and the GCC.
