Schischek actuator families listed here

The ExMax line is ATEX tested for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 and comes in a size S housing (5 to 30 Nm) and a size M housing (24 to 150 Nm). The RedMax line shares the size M housing but is tested for zone 2 and zone 22 locations. Versions on this page include 3-position and on-off drives, spring return actuators, the BF type with an Ex-i tripping circuit for fire damper temperature triggers, 4 to 20 mA and modulating Y types with feedback, and a multi-turn type. All run from a 24 to 240 VAC/DC supply unless the datasheet states 24 V only.

Ordering Schischek actuators: what we need

Send the complete type code including the suffix and coating option, the torque, the running time, the supply voltage and the zone and temperature class of the installation. Terminal boxes, brackets, weather shields and shaft adapters are listed in each datasheet as separate accessories, so name them in the request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Schischek ExMax and RedMax actuators?
ExMax actuators are ATEX tested for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22, while the RedMax line is tested for zone 2 (gas) and zone 22 (dust) only. Check the zone of the installation before choosing.
What does the BF suffix on a Schischek actuator mean?
BF types are spring return actuators with two auxiliary switches and an intrinsically safe Ex-i tripping circuit that connects an ExPro-TT safety temperature trigger, used on fire dampers.
Why do some Schischek datasheet names differ from the actuator type codes?
Datasheet file names such as ExMax-S-3P identify the document. The type codes on the actuator follow the tables inside, for example ExMax-5.10 or ExMax-15-F, so send the code from the nameplate.
Do Schischek actuators need a terminal box?
The datasheets state that connections in hazardous areas require a terminal box certified for the zone, such as an ExBox for ExMax and a RedBox for RedMax.
Is Seven Star LLC a distributor of Schischek?
No. Seven Star LLC is an independent supplier in Muscat that sources genuine Schischek products through commercial channels, checks type codes against the manufacturer's datasheets, and provides the datasheet and the documents the manufacturer issues with the order on request.
