Ubiquiti USW-Pro-Aggregation 28x10G SFP+ and 4x25G SFP28 Switch
Description
The Ubiquiti USW-Pro-Aggregation is a 1U Layer 3 fibre switch with twenty-eight 1/10G SFP+ ports and four 1/10/25G SFP28 uplinks. It provides 380 Gbps of non-blocking throughput, 760 Gbps of switching capacity and a 1.3 inch touch LCM.
The datasheet calls the model USW-Aggregation-Pro; the UniFi tech specs page uses the name USW-Pro-Aggregation. Both describe the same 32-port unit.
Aggregation layer for fibre backbones
An aggregation switch collects uplinks from access switches, servers and gateways. With 28 SFP+ ports it can terminate many 10G links from floor switches such as the USW-Pro-48-PoE, while the four SFP28 ports offer 25G uplinks to a core or a server rack. The datasheet adds that it offers per-port operation modes (switching, mirroring or aggregate), inter-VLAN routing, static routing and a DHCP server managed from the UniFi Controller.
Features from the datasheet
- 28 x 1/10G SFP+ and 4 x 1/10/25G SFP28 ports
- 1.3 inch touch LCM for status and diagnosis
- RPS DC input for redundant power from a UniFi USP-RPS
- 380 Gbps non-blocking throughput, 760 Gbps switching capacity, 565.44 Mpps forwarding
- Layer 3 features: inter-VLAN routing, static routing and DHCP server (datasheet text)
- 1,000 VLANs, 32,000 MAC addresses, 256 IPv4 static routes, 4 MB buffer (tech specs)
- SGCC steel chassis; ESD protection air plus or minus 16 kV, contact plus or minus 12 kV

SFP28 speed rule to check before ordering
The datasheet carries an important footnote: the four SFP28 ports do not support mixed speed in 25G mode. Once one SFP28 port is set to 25 Gbps, the others are limited to 25 Gbps too, and mixed speeds are only possible when all four run at 1 or 10 Gbps. Plan optics and cables accordingly, and buy transceivers or direct-attach cables that match the port speed.
Capacity check (derived): 28 ports at 10 Gbps plus 4 ports at 25 Gbps add up to 380 Gbps per direction (28 x 10 + 4 x 25), equal to the listed non-blocking throughput, so all ports can run at full rate at once. There is no PoE output, and the maximum consumption is 100 W, so allow about 100 W per switch in power and cooling calculations.
Installation and operation
Mount in a rack with the supplied bracket, connect mains and, if wanted, a UniFi RPS for backup. Because the unit does not supply PoE, power for access points must come from the access switches. Fibre transceivers are not part of the switch listing. Adopt it in UniFi Network and map uplinks, then use the touch LCM for quick link checks. Keep ambient air at or below 40 C.
GCC applications
It fits data rooms in office towers, campuses, hospitals and logistics sites in the GCC where several 10G floor links must meet a core. Fibre also avoids copper distance limits between buildings.
Selection and installation notes
A network switch is chosen from the port count and speed, the PoE budget, the uplink type and the management features. Add up the power of every PoE device before choosing the unit, keep a margin on the budget, plan airflow and the mounting position, use the right transceivers and cable category for the uplinks and keep a copy of the configuration after commissioning.
Before ordering, compare the ratings on the data sheet with the project specification, check the connection sizes and the supply conditions, and confirm which accessories, spares and documents travel with the unit. On delivery, inspect the packing, compare the nameplate with the order and keep the manual with the site records so that later commissioning and maintenance work can follow the maker instructions. Ask us if any detail is unclear and we will check it with the supplier before the order is placed.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the full model code, the quantity, the delivery location in Oman or the GCC, the intended use and any accessories needed, so that the complete package can be quoted together.
Documents and supply information
The manufacturer data sheet is attached to this page and should be read together with the project specification and the site risk assessment before a purchase is confirmed. Ratings, standards and dimensions are quoted as printed on that sheet. Lead time, stock position and certificates available with the shipment are confirmed in the quotation, and we supply to Oman and the wider GCC region for industrial, utility and building services projects.
